OTA reception with Antenna in the attic

I live in Morgan Hill, CA and have just purchased an HDTV and HDTV satellite set-up. I'm considering adding an antenna to capture terrestial broadcasts. I have to put the antenna in my attic. Any suggestions? Any users in S. San Jose, Morgan Hill or Gilroy, CA with a similar set up or advice?
