I just setup a MSC-400 which replaced a MRF-350. The MRF-350 was outside my rack closet but the MSC-400 is located in the rack.
The remote being used is MX-900. MSC-400 is programmed.
When power is plugged into MSC-400 I get hiss from all speakers, system is on. Unit is plugged into a panamax surge protector. It is like a 60 cycle hum like issue. I am getting some serious signal interference.
I twist the power connection and giggle it back and forth and it goes in and out. Unplug and it is gone.
When volume is pressed, you can hear beeping that I never heard before until this unit was added.
Also getting very loud hiss noise when I plug my HTPC into the back USB.
I have the power supply in the rack and I'm going to try and move it out. I do not think this will fix as the power is still plugged in, the noise goes away as soon as I pull the power connection from the MSC-400.
If this does not work I'll move it out of my rack and put it behind and away from everything. I hope this works as I have it all programmed and working.
Any ideas on the issue? Is it possible the unit is defective?
I saw another post that talked about a similar issue with signal noise interference that may be picked by the HDMI cable.
