Wait. You're getting grumpy because to many pairs of eyes (including Ralph's) the green tint seems to have been over-applied during the transfer process? If you're cool with having an obviously flawed presentation of one of the best films in cinematic history, then by all means do your thing. But I'm willing to bet there are more than a few discerning viewers who would like to know what they're getting into when they plunk down their hard earned monies. A cursory Google search will show that there are many many reviews popping up from "legit blu rays" and the overwhelming consensus is that while Jackson certainly may have meant to color enhance certain scenes, someone screwed up after he signed off on it and a blanket hue/saturation effect was layed over the ENTIRE film, in ADDITION to whatever enhancements that Jackson made. This is very apparent where there is white in the scene (snow) and blue skies, as well as the opening title card and the white screen fade ins which, all of which are now an unpleasant murky shade of pale green. If you take the time to check up on this issue, you'll see what the critics are talking about.
Like I said, you yourself may not see the green (until you watch your own blu-ray) and even if you do see it, you may be fine with it, and that's your prerogative. But that doesn't mean that the next person who buys the set and is dismayed to see a green wash over the entire first film won't be wishing they'd heard about the problem beforehand.
Lastly, If I've misinterpreted your approach to this, I apologize. It just seems like you're rolling your eyes at the "green tint conspiracy" and IMHO that's doing this forum and its community a bit of a disservice.
Ralph already mentioned it clearly on his thread about the colour issue. People do know how to read! When I asked that question on the blu ray thread who has the blu ray for the screencaps I was told its common sense there from a Torrent site. Not good enough for me. Ive accepted the green tint is from a legit source Ive read Ralphs review and Im happy. You dont want to buy them thats your call. I think everyone in this forum and the others know about this issue its wether they want to buy it or not is there call. Going by Ralph glowing review im looking forward in buying them.
