TV mount

I am looking for a TV mount for a 50-60 inch plasma TV (have not bought TV yet).

I ran across this one which seems like a really good deal given the strong reviews:

But it looks like similar mounts on monoprice are $10-$20 plus shipping. I am wondering if I would be overpaying if I went with the one from Amazon. And it seems like Monoprice sells a bunch of generic mounts. I don't see a brand name when I click on many of the monoprice mounts.

Are all mounts created equal? Should I be concerned about quality? Should I spend the extra money on a Peerless?

I have a Monoprice mount. Works great. Have a Sanus mount, also works great.

What would be the correct forum?

And which monoprice mount would you recommend? Are they all the same?

Probably Flat Panel General.

I can't recommend a specific mount. My Monoprice mount is for a smaller TV (bedroom). It all depends upon what you want. Fully articulating, or simple on the wall. Mounting to concrete (IE over a fireplace) or studs.

If you go Monoprice, my advice is to look for one that has the right size and weight specs for the TV you get, and will do what you want. Then, look at the description and make sure it's intended for your wall. The TVs for concrete/brick walls are marked as such, stud walls are implied.

Otherwise, Best Buy has a utility to find amount for your TV. You enter the model, it spits back options. Then, pick an option and go deal-hunting.
