I've been watching Columbo reruns since the 80s and he seemed to have dementia then. (Said with much affection.)

Didn't he once do a bank-heist movie?

"It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" from 1963 and the narrator from "The Princess Bride." 'Nuff said. God speed, good actor.

At least he didn't drive a car into a tree.

Amen to that.

Columbo was a unique detective character and a highly-rated TV show.
If ya didn't like it, there was something wrong with you...

Falk plays Abe Reles, a vicious thug who led the Murder Inc. gang and was believed to have committed thirty murders, for which he was never prosecuted. [2] The film was the first major feature role for Falk, who was nominated for a best supporting actor Academy Award for his performance. In his 2006 autobiography, Just One More Thing, Falk said that Murder Inc. launched his career

I first watched Columbo when I was in college, and I've seen every episode since. It is a great show to have on in the background while studying.

Falk was also great in some of the more off-beat films, one of which is the movie Made.

Looks like we all have a soft spot for Columbo.

That's it!

Columbo was an icon and he was great in Princess Bride too.

For some reason Columbo and Baretta always stood out to me after all these years. "and you can take that to the bank."

Columbo is still my all time favorite. I think I've seen every episode 100 times. I still watch them on DVD regularly. A real shame. He will be missed.
