This is assuming you can afford a Blu-Ray Player(who can't these days?!? they're dirt cheap)
Here's what you do:
1. Rent/Buy, via your fav vendor, the somewhat new release of the Bruce Willis Movie "RED"
2. Scroll to the time-stamp 4:05 and play through 4:28 or so.
3. This is a classic pan that'll display big-time artifacts if your TV and/or Blu-Ray players aren't set-up properly.
4. If it's a smooth pan experience, then good news your player and TV are synced up for a perfect movie viewing experience.
5. If not, then toggle a few things off, 1-at-a-time, until you get the smooth panning effect. If nothing seems to work
, then post your TV & Blu-Ray specs here & maybe the videophiles that frequent here can make some suggestions that'll make you a happy movie watcher.
After all, you paid the big bucks for your TV & hopefully not too much on that Blu-Ray(unless of course you bought the sweet BDP-93 Oppo
) why should you have to put up with artifacts/judder?!?
This could work for your Plasma too.............Wasn't sure what forum to post this one on.
And if anyone else has a classic movie benchmark that'll work like the time-stamp i mentioned from Red, then please post it here as well.
