Looking for best infrared USB receiver

Thread Starter
I am trying to setup my new ATI Wonder Cable Card on a Windows7 machine. Anyone have a good IR receiver they recommend? My old TV tuner had one built in, but it has a 3mm jack on it and the new card does not. I need something that is super compatible with Windows7 and will work with my Harmony remote.

Get an HP Media Center IR Receiver from eBay for ~$10 shipped. Then just use the Media Center commands already in the Harmony database, no need for a MCE remote.

For the higher end you can get a USB-UIRT and pair it with EventGhost.

Hi

Just received a FLIRC.

PM'ed you the link as I'm not allowed to post links on the board yet

Lets you use any remote and is very easy to program whether you use Windows, Linux or OSX.

So far I'm very impressed.

Regards Skare
