Speaker replacement recommendations

I've got a pair of Klipsch Cornwall IIs in a 2 speaker setup used mainly for music. These beasts sound phenomenal but they are too big for our family room (my wife seems to think we need room to sit). Any recommendations on replacement speakers? I'm thinking a smaller footprint floor standing speaker (Polk RT A7?). Budget is $500 - $1500.

I think the Polk RT A7 would be a good choice dont get me wrong but I would look more into the Pl-89's as they would have around the same sound as the Klipsch you love... just my opion that is!

They are maybe a little bit less brighter than the Klipsch but will still give to the clean sound you are use too.
