ACER K330 LED 1280x800 - Page 5

If we are lucky, the ACER could be the more apporpiate for HT and the more affordable, out of the 4 clones of course.

Thanks for posting the link to the manual.
I hope the final manual is better.
Video specs only show for multimedia files.
"3D" is nowhere to be found (I thought this one was 3d ready, maybe just the Viewsonic?)

The main manual is here.

I posted this tidbit of info on my thread of LED clones, but did you guys noticed the throwing ratio table which ends with screens up to 80" diagonal maximum for acceptable focus ?
I realize that must be a misprint and since i am on the market for an ACER K330 as soon as it's available in the USA, i would appreciate any comments from customers in Europe where the pj is already available for sale...Tx...

It's not available in Europe and won't be until sometime in October at the earliest.

From Slashgear: "Acer is positioning it as an ideal home entertainment model..."

Nice to hear anyways.

Thanks!

It looks like 120Hz is supported up to XGA.
So I suspect 720p 3d won't work
I guess we'll have to wait until they're out and test.

Regards.

Yeah it sucks that XGA @ 120HZ means it's not compatible with the 3dxl.

BUT, it does support XGA @120HZ over HDMI, so hdcp shouldn't be an issue with powerdvd & AMD HD3D OR NVIDIA 3D Vision.
I dont think nvidia will work over hdmi-but if you get 120hz over vga you could use the generic crt trick(break the info pins off a adapter)

Mine has shipped and is on its way too, but I don't know when it will get here. Probably not this week.
The price in Germany just dropped to 573$ (without tax).

Congrats to all early adopters! Ye are much braver than I am!

What worries me most about this/these pjs atm is the dreaded startup focus issues and the odd Acer ANSI contrast value. I'm really hoping that this pj shines, cuz if it does... I'll be (finally!) pulling the trigger!

^^^ +1
travis_bickle, can you post a link to where you ordered the pj from?

I haven't had time to do any real testing, but the picture looks nice.

It is very loud though, at least mine is. Like, loud to the point where I think most people would find it irritating even on eco mode.
