Panasonic DMR85H HDD jumper configuration?

Good morning.

I got a unit with no HDD installed.

After finding an appropriate Samsung drive (and the little HD connector bar), I need to know what the HDD jumper configuration is supposed to be.

Does anybody have a diagram or photo?

Also: unit shows a "ch81" code. Anybody know what that is?

Unit does go to "please wait" when turned on and off; caps all look OK, but they have not been replaced. Unit not responsive to remote control.

Thanks for your time!

I just downloaded it fine from the site. Be sure you have javascript on, and no ad blockers.

The "ch81" is the channel number that the unit is set on, and apparently the unit is freezing at that point because of the missing HD. The repair guide will explain this.

Edit: You may try this link. IE sometimes gets funny if there is not a "www" in the link.

Tried again with Firefox (their preferred browser) but still no go. Ad blockers off and Javascript on.

Is it a straight PDF file, or is one of the "archived" versions they talk about?

You using Windows? I'm on a Mac with OS 10.4

Finally, the download took a long time to process - and it was in a place on the page that wasn't very noticeable.

Thanks.

Where on that page is the link to the manual? What do I click on to get it?

After you have been approved for download (it checks IP addresses to be sure you only download twice a day), click on the "Get Manual" link, and save.

My page did not look like that, but I did find the "get manual" button. It took a little time to come up, apparently because of the checking thing.

Thanks!
