Guys, any updates?
I have been searching all over the net for quality reviews and this thread is it.
I just bought the VTF 3 Mk4 and love it! I'm local to HSU Research and while picking up the sub I auditioned their speakers and I thought they were great. Absolutely incredible when you then realize the price.
I sampled a bunch of movies but just 5 min of music. I left impressed with all of it. I don't know enough to try to describe them and do them justice so I'll leave that to you guys.
I did read somewhere that you do need to angle the fronts slightly in front of you and that's exactly how Dr Hsu had it set up in his demo room. The soundstage was incredible. You could easily hear the detail but not from any particular speaker. Of course they are timbre matched but listening to a 5.1 set up I was really surprised to hear ( from the Lord of the Rings) movement and dialog clearly moving from the right, center, to the left speaker but beyond to almost where a 7.1 speaker should be.
I really enjoyed listening to them.
