65hm167 heatsink

Hello All, I recently took apart my dmd board to toshiba 65hm167 tv to replace dlp chip. My problem is after I took off my heatsink I ended up with four springs (2 short and 2long) and dont remember how they go to put heatsink back on. Thank you all for your help

Yes, the repair worked, it was fairly easy. Remove screws and back plate that goes around all the audio/video inputs, remove fan, metal plate, heatsink, and then the dmd board to get to dlp chip. Dlp chip cost me $175.

Part# I used was 4719-001997. It was different # from what my original dlp chip had but it has been working flawless. No need to remove light engine. After removing back plastic plate there is two additional screws that holds light engine component in place. Remove the two two screws to slide light engine assembly out a few inches so you can unplug some wiring. Also the heatsink will have a thermal pad, just get some thermal grease from your nearest computer store in case the thermal pad breaks apart when removing heatsink and also when unscrewing heatsink remember how springs are in place. Then remove components I mentioned in previous post. Found part through shopjimmy.
