My seats arrived first thing this morning. They were fully assembled, actually lag bolted to the wooden palate, and in a box bigger than an average Manhattan apartment... :-)

The driver did help me me get the box into the garage, although it wasn't very easy (and he didn't have to). Anyway, glad that's over with.

I called 4seating twice yesterday about getting some assembly instructions. They said they had a video and would send it to me. When I called 4 hours later, they told me they were still working on it. Needless to say, I never received anything from them.

I won't have the seats installed for another 2 or 3 weeks (wet bar is still being built, then paint, carpet, and finally MOVE IN time.. I'll give a proper review then. For now, the seats arrived, undamaged, in a reasonable amount of time.

Yeah, it bums me out too. I still have not heard anything at all from them despite the correspondence from me and my credit card company. We will see what happens. Now the question is going to be, will they pick up the chairs. If not, what do I do with them. I expect it's going to be 6 weeks or so before I know anything for sure. I still hope they are going to call and just pick up the chairs.

As a follow-up, I still have not heard from 4seating.com. They have not replied by phone (I left two numbers), email, or snail mail to a multitude of attempted contacts. They have not replied to my credit card company either. Today the credit card company refunded all my money. You'd think that would get them to call or something. At least it makes me feel good about my credit card company.

My personal advice would be to avoid doing business with this company. Too bad because they have such a good selection.

Oh well.

I'm amazed at the different success people have had with this company.

I placed my first order with HTmarket for a set of Coaster Pavillions. After over a month of calls and emails (each time with a different answer), I finally received the product. Keep in mind this was on a quick ship product that I was originally told would arrive in 10 days. No one would take responsibility and just kept passing the buck to someone else.

I decided to place my next order with 4seating. The gentleman I talked with was courteous and very helpful in steering me towards a set of seats to fit my narrower back row. I placed my order and I received an email from them a few days later stating they had shipped. I just got a call from the shipper today to schedule delivery for tomorrow. I haven't seen them yet obviously, but so far the company has been professional and prompt. Much better experience thus far then HTmarket.

Just to add my .02 to BA's positive experience. I ordered a set of Lane Malibus via their website on Memorial Day. I originally ordered manual recline. Someone from 4Seating called me next day to upsell me to power recline due to the long lead time on the manual seats...upsell included splitting the difference on the price increase per seat. Seats were delivered the following Wednesday...literally coast to coast...in a week.

I did have to do a little nagging to get a replacement plastic foot sent. It wasn't damaged in transit, but appeared to have been overtightened during installation by Lane. Certainly not enough of an issue to spend more elsewhere if they have what you want at the right price.

Yep. So each person has to decide if it's worth the risk. Everything might turn out fine or they might get screwed.

I really can't imagine anyone getting screwed. I mean the company is either legit, or not. I find it really strange that you can have numerous positive experiences, and then that many negative ones.

To follow up on my order. My seats arrived today. The boxes had a few "beauty marks", so the driver and I opened them up and inspected everything. No issues. Now if I had a problem and had to get 4seating involved; maybe it would have been a different story as others have mentioned. Right now however, I have nothing but good things to say about them.

Oh. Well, then this must be all in my head. I'm sure that you have a much better understanding of everything going on than I do. I feel so silly now.

Well if you approached them with the same attitude you just did me, I can understand why you aren't getting anywhere. Maybe you should work on your crass. wink.gif

I had a good experience with them. I ordered a set of theatre chairs (4). The chairs were due to be delivered by October 16th, but we were surprised to receive them early (almost three weeks). The delivery was made on a Friday. One little gliche, the warehouse sent out two wrong boxes. Two of the chairs were okay but the other two boxes had the wrong chair in them so the delivery guys had to return to the warehouse to get the right two boxes. They did that and came back the following day with the the right chairs. The chairs were very very nice, just as we ordered them. I too have heard some pretty horrific stories about this company AFTER I ordered. I was hoping that I wouldn't be joining in on a negative note. I'm glad to report that we had a positive experience..

Placed an order on Wednesday for 5 Lane Grand Slam seats, (old berkline 13175's) with power recline, should be at local terminal next Friday. I called my order in, the website didn't show https when I went to enter payment, so I didn't take the chance buying on line. Can't complain so far, so we'll see.

I had a pretty good experience with 4seating. I ordered 7 Rialto recliners in Beechwood color in May. They informed me that it would be at least 6-8 weeks before they were available in that color. They offered me the motorized recliners in the same color for the same price, but I declined. After 8 weeks, they still didn't have the chairs in from China, and I really needed them in the theater during the build to measure out exactly how deep I wanted the riser. I called and complained, and they agreed to send me 7 recliners in the brown color -- I was actually happy because I liked the brown color better (it was my wife who had insisted on beechwood). Chairs were delivered a week later -- I had white glove delivery, and it went very smoothly.

Fast forward three months. The chairs sat in my basement while the build was going on. I had also ordered the iPad holder, and when the build was complete and the chairs were in the theater, I found that they had not sent all the parts. I called them, and it took them a couple of weeks but they sent the right part, despite it being three months since the item was delivered. So all in all, I can't complain. I dealt with Patricia, and she was very helpful throughout.

Got my seats on Monday. Opened boxes and checked the seats even though the driver (Bullet freight) said it was his companies policy not to allow the customer to open packages if there is no visible damage to the boxes. Told him I see damage on every box! LOL!. Anyway, the seats are just fine, no defects, motors work, so I'm happy.

... STILL waiting for them to pick up our seats...

Finally picked up the chairs on Saturday! Took 7 months to return them and the only reason that they took them back was that the credit card company stepped it and refunded my money. Very shady company if you go by my experience with them. I'm glad others had good experiences. People need to know both sides.

That sucks about your experience DeadEd.

I ordered 4 Seatcraft Sienna's (black/power) just after xmas with 4seating.com.

The reason I went with them is that they price-matched another online company (with no reputation so I wasn't sure about them) without any hassle. 4seating.com reduced the price by $400 simply by double-checking the other website. Good communication, seats were shipped within a few days and I had them within 2 weeks (new years in the way). The boxes were quite busted up but all the seats were in perfect condition. I've had them for a couple weeks now and I love them. Just my 2 cents.

I have ordered from 4seating twice, the first time I ordered through the website (a clearance set) and didn't hear form them for days ,,, until finally I was told they were sold out. I was ticked but spoke to someone there who worked with me on a different set. I ended up buying the Berkline Medinah manual reclines. They are bonded leather but have held up pretty well going on 3 years including a move.
The second time I just called to place the order and everything went smoothly.

I also had a coworker order a set and he reported no issues.

Overall I would say that I'll probably order from them again. Fairly positive experience factoring in price and free shipping to VA from Cali.

GREAT SERVICE from 4SEATING La Habra CALIF.
I ordered the Seatcraft Sienna 7000. 4 seats curved, loveseat in the middle.
Anna was my rep. I placed my order on FEB 14.2013 And Anna told me they were excpected in by the end of the month. There was a short delay in customs. No problem I have ordered things before and there were delays in customs.
The reviews say no returned phone calls. NOT TRUE. Anna returned calls and email within hours.
I did not read the bad reviews till after I placed my order. Good thing or I may not have ordered amd missed out on a great deal.
My seats ARRIVED Mrach 13 2013. PERFECT. as described. GREAT SERVICE!

I ordered two 4 seat rows of Seatcraft Grenadas from 4seating.com. We'll see how it goes, and I'll report back my experience. I had placed a separate order a few days ago for a different set, but they were not able to complete that order because of a lack of stock for the configuration I wanted. They called me without prompting about that issue, and cancelled the order so I could research and place a new one. The web site is nice, but the actual ordering process is a bit amateurish. You get a confirmation/order number in your web browser, but not in email, which is really odd. It seems like they don't really have fully automated order processing that's tied into the web site. There's no way to check status on the web site, etc.

Edit: Oh, I forgot one other thing. A promo code listed on the site (for Free Power Recline) was accepted by the ordering pages, but did not reflect the appropriate discount in the shopping cart. I suspect this is another ramification of a non-integrated web site/ ordering system.

Update. Clarissa called me the same day I placed the order to confirm everything. The chairs went out the following week, and showed up on the 26th. Total time from order to receipt was two calendar weeks. The seats look great, and were in good condition. I'd say my experience with these folks has been quite good.
