Is this speaker wire good for my new speakers?

10 feet is not a long run. You are good to go.

You can give it a try...but in my experience monster wire is some of the worst wire out there....I would go to home depot and buy a small 50 ft spool of 14 g GE speaker wire....it's what I use and its great.I recommend it because I recently purchased 2 deftech 8060-St towers with monster wire and come too find out my left tower would not get as loud as my other.....it happened too be the monster wire....went out and redid my system with the GE pro wire from home depot and it was night and day...and my runs were about 10 feet also....just some friendly advice...:-)

There is nothing wrong with Monster wire other than the price. You are good to go.

Honestly, for a ten foot run, you could use a coat hanger and not notice a difference. Try hooking up that monster cable and then only use a few strands of copper and see if you can hear the difference...

That picture is all wrong. You have to make sure you put each of the cable supports on an Auralex pad and you also have to make sure they are double grounded!

Sorry but you are wrong to advise going Home depot to get speaker wire.. monster Cable is a bit more expensive than most wire but depending on the wire chosen it is heads shoulders above most. I installed Have Monster XPHP technologies now in CL3 rated jacket for in-wall use installed on My Klipsch Reference II HT 7.2. it is by far the best sound ever. I also bought Monoprice 12ga. Speaker Wire and
Listened tested head to head. Monster came out on top. Let me add that other important factor will impact the sound on your speaker system. a Quality Receiver or AMP that has the ability correct room "demon". such a carpered hard wood floors. High Grade Speakers and the most over looked is High Grade 14-12 Gauge wire.

and good quality speakers never hurt...

and "high grade" wire is fine too... but i'm gonna guess his definition of "high grade" and mine are starkly different... my guess is that "high grade" to him means "high priced"...

His first post and he posts that. Can anyone say troll? I must agree with him about not buying Home Depot wire though. I bought some there and it was green within a few months. It oxidized really badly.
