I start working at the soundprotection inside the pr. room and put everywhere i can sound protection waffles.

some of the old waffles from the old pr. room in white are still there and i use them.

this will drop the level of noise inside the pr. room some db as it kills the
noise close to the pr. itself and this will of course also decrease the outside noise level.

also as i have now a lot of sound absorber free as i have in the past in my cinema
in the direction to the screen 2 rows of them at the floor (see older pictures) but now
as i put a new first row this absorber are free.
this will decrease the sound level inside the pr. room additional and opposite
to the waffles it will kill also lower freq. much better.






next will be to put the bd player the denon a1 and all the rest back to work.

i decide to put everything under the rack from pr. number 1.
as i can almost look to the screen when i handle the bd player and the a1.
it will be the best way.

i may put a 20m hdmi cable to the middle of the now second row that i use normally to watch 2d and 3d bds as i like to
have there a 3d bd player to check some times short some bds.

i have to hurry up as i got yesterday the movie ben hur at bd.

i like to use this compare to say if you have a true 4k native material compare to the best bd the difference is almost as big
as I the link above between dvd and bd IF you sit close enough to the picture(not much more than 1 times the picture wide).

i will may use Ben Hur Blue Ray to reopen my cinema after the 2k dlp to 4k dlp change when in about 5 weeks all is done and the new
seats for the new first row are there as Lawrence of Arabia is still not at BD!

yes Peter now everything develops nice and fast.

yesterday i almost finish to place the audio cables and the whole other
cables.
only the server that playback my 4k 3d stills neet all together
4 usb 4 display port and 8 dvi cables from the computer output to the input from both 4k dlps see

I hope soon will be a single cable there with a new standard that can do 2x60 frames
at native 4K in 3D!


if i can spend some more days like i work at the last weekend
(i do almost everything myself) i will be finish soon.
before my new seats will come for sure.

the last big thing was to build the sound protection for the lens without
glass in between the optic and the screen.

as i like to try a other optic for some reason i can not start with it.

i like to wait before everything was 100% clear that i will use the lens i
have in future as well.

this is only half right.

right is 2D is dead "and 2K is also dead"!

4K 3D with 2x 60Frames are the future.

-Sony announced a true 4K consumer pr. for dez 2011 or jan2012.

-Sony announced a softwareupgrade for the playstation 3 that it can playback 4K stills.

-Samsung announced a new chip that are already ship in samples for 4k consumer cams.

-Jvc will have very soon a 4k camera for almost consumer price level.

-Canon will have november3th a big day(very likely offers a soon to buy cheap 4k cam)

-Red will may upgrade the scarlet to true 4k recording as a direct hit to canon.

-CES 2012 will have a lot of companys with 4k recording and displaying

no question 4k will becomes very popular in 2012.

i bet we will see a cheap 4k pr. before 2012 ends.

i will answer "one" part.

DCI 2k 2d is 250mbit per secound.

for 4k DCI its the same!

yes i also think 4k have more but existing 4k dci is only 250mbit.

i think that will change when 4k gets higher frame rate or 4k3d.

the goal should be 4k3d with 2x 60 frames and in some years we will see it.

my guess is that this takes at least 4 times the bandwith but i am sure
in 2-4 years that will be not any problem.

2k from bd was either upcon to 4k from the barco itself or i
can use the doremi 4k imb for that.

remember my cinema is still under construcion and i did not any test if there was a difference between it.

over 21 gbit/sec. thats why displayport may find its way to some 4k pr.in future.

yesterday the new first row a black two double love chair arrived
earlier that expect.

this will be the place to watch at around 0.7 times the screen wide
my native 3d 4k stills and some day true other 4k content.

i can movie with the 4k dlp also the "now" secound row that are perfect
to watch 2d and 3d bds from 1.15 times the screen wide to 1.0 times the screen wide in distance.

the problem in the past with the 2k dlp was that at 1.0 times the screen wide in
distance i can see pixels in some areas but as this is with a 4k a no issue anymore
i did this change.

as there are new 4k opitics coming i deside to not drill a hole into the 2
plates for the 2 openings from both pr.(see the picture in the background) as this is a hightec material and very expensive.
the new optics are very likely a bit thicker and i not like to do it again.
i will keep this hightec plates and did it when i will be 100% sure about
what optic i will use in future.

for the time being i will order a 40mm thick hard wood and just make a hole into
it to couple the lens without any glass to the screen.
top sound protection have to wait a bit.

so soon i can reopen my cinema and i will select for it likely

this movie was one of the movie that i will remember forever also
like the first Star Wars 1976 and Titanic and 2001.

all this movies i saw in 70mm and beside titanic that was a blowup
from a Super 35mm all was real true 70mm films.

its almost done.

i get today the temporarily windows elements
and i will do some soundprotection the next few days at the inner side of the window.




the big eye is watching you

yesterday i look into
drop further the noise level.

as you can see in this picture the gab in the projector
room window is around 10 mm each side and noise from inside
the pr. room comes "a bit" out
from this gab.

i design and produce a strange looking sound cancel tubesystem
see here "some parts" of it.






this almost close the whole gab and at the front
of the 4 srews I will add a aperture that let ONLY
the beam out and cover all the rest.
that means the small gab that is still there (around 1-2mm only) will
be closed as well and it will looks more nice.

i try it and the sound level is with all this action
as good as if there was not any hole at all!
cant hear any difference now between a 100% closed
window (that I still have to try it) or this with the hole
with the sound protection.

also some more sound absorbers inside the pr. room itself help
to get the nosie level down.

no question you still can hear all this huge fans.
2 x 600 cubic meter exaust air +1x 1200 cubic meter inside air and 2 huge
32000 lumen pr. with two 6000 watt xenon lamps and the
cinema server the 4K 3D computer and more all this you can still hear outside
but good is that sound level is now much less than in the past with one single barco dp 2000 with inside and outside air system!

also I will add a filter slider after this new aperture
next week that
will have the Infitec 3D filter and other filters i will try in future
for 2D and 3D.

this will also make it very easy to switch between
2D and 3D and on top of this I will add some different
apertures that will kills
the light when I project a 2.35 format movie
the black bars on top and bottom as with my light gun
this is a improvement as less scattered light will hit the room.
I did the same with my DP 2000 and it was a good improvment
this time but now
as this pr. have almost the double light it will be even more important.

also it will help to drop the light level for 2d as i cant dim enough
the light level with this 6000 watt xenon (min. is 4000 watt)
and thats
a bit high for 2d at least with a very new lamp.
also it is not to good for the lamp itself
to dim this huge xenon lamps at all.

if you dim very often between max. and min.(worst case!) this
huge xenon lamps will produce more flicker!

the beam cant burn into ONE place as it always move
form one place the beam select at max. light out to a other
place for min. light out.
this jumping will enlarge the filcker.

i am a pcb manufacturer and the parts are made from pcb material
called FR4.

the filter slider is ready
it contains temporary only the new infitec filters.

the one that will be made in some weeks will have 3 filters for each pr.
possible also gray filter to drop the lumen in 2d!

yes you hear right I like to drop the lumen
as I cant do it with more diming I have to do it with a gray filter.

the min. 4000 watt produce with a new lamp around 70ftl at the screen at full 7 meter.and that is a bit too much even for my taste
till 50ftl is ok but over 70 ftl is to much.

I will likely drop it to 30-40 ftl.
