I just don't understand all this HD stuff too well, yet.
I own a Panasonic DMP-BD65, indeed it does 720P out through component. I bought it last year on a black Friday sale for $90 free ship no tax.
It has network over Ethernet or you could put a wireless bridge on it, this would give you Netflix for $8.00 a month or other pay per view movies through the usual Vudu etc.
I see a refurbed one on eBay for $80 free ship here
or if you are good at tinkering there is an as-is one for $30 plus $12 ship or best offer here
, I would offer $10 and see what happens. That one would at least be a cheap Netflix player. (TV SCREEN OK. DISC TRAY WILL NOT STAY CLOSED. HAS A DENT IN IT AND A RATTLE.)
Edited: The as-is one is the player only no remote, without the remote you can't do much of anything.
