Pioneer ELITE VSX-01 TXH nightime mode?

is there a mode that when watching bluray or DVDs at night when my son is sleeping the volume will not raise up so high during action scenes ?

i forgot the mode i used on my old sony receiver but it was just a simple adjustment with the remote it Wala!
