You can get five Speakercraft Accufit IW7 Ones for about 600 dollars if you shop around online. They are fully enclosed with a metal back box.

Hey rob,

each room is ~23' wide x 17 to 30' deep. Each is open in layout with 10' ceilings. Our couches are both roughly 6-10' from the TV's and both rooms have the sub wired to the corners of their respective spaces so I don't know if that make a difference on having a sub with 2 cones vs 1 cone.

how do the Speakercraft Accufit IW7 compare to the Polk RC 85i's?

And thanks for the suggestion dave!

Well 23x30x10 is 6,900 cu.ft, and really large.
And 23x17x10 is 3910 cu.ft so the smaller room would be easier to fill with bass

Subwoofers to look at would be those Epik's, HSU, or Element Designs

The Epik Legend's look nice, but does it matter that they are dual cone and I'm going to be putting this sub in a corner?

I don't want to have distorted sounds if possible, but I don't know if that matters for a sub being put so close to a wall.

Thanks!

That should be a question for the folks at Epik though give it some room in the corner on one side it should help
