poopli Expired

Thread Starter
Just went to check poopli and got the poopli.com has expired page. Hopefully this is just an oversight on Archie's part and will be taken care of soon. I have not donated in some time so I hit the donate button on one of my poopli tabs and kicked in a little. Here is the link if anyone else wants to contribute:

https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/we...9ca749cb816560

If the link doesn't work, here is the email to send paypal payments to:

That expiration page is really weird as it states that the reg expired 7/7/2009 - what's with that?

I've used the site for years and never donated so I feel ashamed and sent money his way..

Even if he decides not to keep it up, I'll think of it as a belated "thank you" for all the previous years of service...

Might be holding off renewal to find out what happens after 7/31.

Just donated using archdog@gmail.com on paypal. Hopefully, this is not the last of Poopli.

Archie emailed me in reply to a donation and he said that he has renewed the name and it should be up shortly.

Looks like the registration has expired once again. It was working yesterday but not today.

Sadly I know that fewer and fewer people are still using the system (MANY left when DNNA first announced their plan to end the ReplayTV Guide service, which thankfully they decided to continue providing), and Poopli use seems to have shrunk to a trickle during the summer reruns. Hopefully use will pick up once again in the fall.

I still get analog cable, and the ReplayTV IR blaster works beautifully with the over-the-air signal through the DTVPal+ digital to analog converter. Recording with the converter in "Full" mode (16x9 Anamorphic, using the full height of the 4:3 screen but squishing the picture) and displaying it on an HDTV in "Full" mode to re-expand the full width looks very good, even when recording in "Standard" mode. Should my cable company switch to digital only I plan on still recording over the air programming this way indefinitely and hope that Poopli use continues well into the future. It has been a great way to replace bad recordings, catch series premiers that I missed out on, and share shows I enjoy with others.

(Off to send a donation to send a LONG overdue donation to archdog@gmail.com , and I also see that the server is still up and running at http://216.154.213.97/e1525/login.htm .)

I am happy to see Poopli back in business. For some reason it is not synching with IVSMagid (Poopli+IVSMagic). If you use IVSMagic, are you having this problem? If not, any ideas what I can do?

I use IVSmagic and, and it has continued to properly keep Poopli updated with my show listings, and did not get messed up by the Poopli DNS registration being expired for a couple of days. An awful lot of issues get resolved by simply restarting your system (and if you can, do a complete shutdown of your router, ReplayTV units, computer, etc, then restart your router first, then your computer, then the ReplayTVs.) If the problem does not resolve itself from a clean restart you may want to post your issue in a new thread.
