Need advice on remote and setup

Hello,

I am a new guy to the AVS forum. I have some issues with my current HT setup and need some advice on the best way to control everything.

My hardware:

TV - Panasonic Plasma Screen circa 2008
DVR - Motorola DCT4616 with a UR5L-8720L universal remote
PS3 with the DVD remote
Reciever - Yamaha rx-a1000 with terrible Yamaha remote.... shame on them!
Other - NAS device, computer with media server, etc.

Configuration and use:

Simple, HDMI from DVR to reciver, HDMI from PS3 to reciver, ethernet to PS3, ethernet to reciver, HDMI from reciver to TV. Nothing fancy here. My TV use is split 50/50 between the DVR and my media server via the PS3. I am not really a gamer my PS3 is mostly a media server and BD/DVD player. I have music libraries on my NAs device as well.

My problems:

Obvious, 4 remotes suck. I need a universal that can run my my setup. The universal I have with my DVD won't properly work my yamaha. My TV has Viera Link so I can use volume control for the reciver that way but if the TV starts before the receiver the Viera Link defauls back off and I have to turn it on again which can only be done with the TV remote. The yamaha remote will sync to my TV but not the DVR so I cant even change channels without the DVR remoe let alone access the DVR menu. The PS3 in bluetooth...so I pretty much have to use all 4 remotes to do just about everything...

Can I configure the remotes I have to work better? Is there a DVR code for the yamaha remote or a code for my universal that will work with my receiver?

Which Universal do you reccomend to control what I have keeping the price reasonable? How well would this remote work? What limitation or issues might it have?

I am not well read up on current universal remotes so go easy on me please.

OK, I solved the issues with my Universal. I have not had any issues untill my new receiver showed up, so I havent had to mess my DVR remote. I learned that the model I have is a learning model (I had no idea it was) so I got my reciver controls to work. I added the TV menu and the Viera Link menue so I can make that work. I am down to 2 remotes and can do everything. Feel dumb that I had the answer right in front of me all the time.

So I need a remote that can also run my PS3....
