its crazy how much power my LX5090 wants when displaying a full field 100% white screen
and even more with a ANSI Checkboard on the screen
i can understand why the ABL was set so low.
with higher ABL and a ansi checkboard running it eats 590 Watts!
but for regular viewing you doesnt come up to those numbers.
usually around 270 watts.
what i have done is that i have calibrated a ISFccc Night Setting with crazy high ABL.
i have 120cd/m2 with a 100% white window and 95cd/m2 with the ansi checkboard!
im really happy with that.
with those values the brightness stays even and now looks more like an LCD screen that never dims.
i dont have the guts to use this high or low what you will call it ABL with higher peak brightness for ISFccc Day mode.
the power consumsion is just to high.
for daytime viewing i use my Sony W9 instead.
300cd/m2 with 100% white all the time.
it doeasnt matter if its a ansi checkboard or full field white screenEdited by pg_ice - 12/3/13 at 10:42am
