Vizio XVT32 Remote problems?

Hello all,
I just recently purchased a Vizio XVT323SV tv for our living room, and I have it hooked into a LG Bluray Player. We recently just set the bluetooth remote that came with said tv to control the Bluray as well, but there is one problem: The volume controls on the Vizio remote don't work. The ones on the bluray player work fine for the tv, but not the actual TV remote.

Is this something I can fix, or is that just how it is?

Any ideas? I've since found out that the volume controls don't work on any of the inputs I switch to aside from TV.
