I need about 35-40 ft HDMI cable for new projector I'm getting. Cable will run up wall to attic for ceiling mount position. Where should I look? Monoprice? Do I need anything special? Also, is switch box good idea since I also us BD player for TV use?

Only thing i know so far is you need a high speed HDMI for that lenght. I was researching the same thing for 25 feet HDMI cables.

I have a 35 footer from Blue Jeans Cable. It is working just fine. They advertise here on AVS as does Monoprice.

I bought a 45 foot HDMI from BlueJeans Cable (an AVS sponsor) in 2006 and it has worked flawlessly. My cable runs from my AV shelving unit into a wall, down into the basement, across to another wall then up to ceiling mounted projector. I know some other members swear by Monoprice HDMI cables. If you have a question about what BlueJeans cable is right for your use give them a call.

I also have a 35' HDMI cable from Bluegreen. Seems to be of high quality to me and Bluray movies look great.

This goolink is a bit of a tool. All 18 of his posts say the same thing in different forums.

If 2D 1080P is all you will ever want then go with a good cable. Currently there are no cables that meet high speed spec at that length that aren't powered. You don't need high speed if all you want is 1080P but if you want 3D or higher resolutions now or in the future, I'd look at other solutions. fibre is my top choice but pricey for that short of distance, Cat6 baluns should work fine.

FYI, although 1080P is part of the high speed spec it uses less than half bandwidth of the full HDMI spec so you can get a longer standard cable that should work for 1080P at that distance. You can always try a longer cable and add a restorer if it doesn't work.

Ethereal SR-1 restorer. MSRP $499 but can be found much cheaper.

Don't know if this link works but go under products/ HDMI accesories/ SR-1

Spectrum electronic Solutions DSR-701. MSRP $199

both of these companies also offer Cat5/6 baluns. Although their literature isn't up to date their products do work with 3D and very reliable made in the US.
