Congrats Robert! My Denon DBP1610 died on me about 6 months ago, so I don't have anything to play multi-channel music at the moment. I've decided to stick it out for the next generation Oppo, buying a Panasonic DMP-BDP320 to hold me over for movies 'til then.

Bummer bud, I was anxious to get home tonight just to hear the news of their arrival, but I guess I'm not quite as disappointed as you. Tuesday will come soon enough.

Happy Easter to all!

anyone using an integrated with their two's?

I was thinking about getting a pair and also a Rega Brio-R but suspect that might be a little underpowered

It's 73w @ 4 ohm. really depends on you...it may or may not be adequate... i would personally want ~6db more headroom (4X the power)

Considering the plethora of electronics options out there..............................dollar for dollar...

I'm all over the 500wpc to make these things sing.

I'd love to have that beast powering my speakers! You have great taste.

I tried everything I could but FedEx doesn't deliver ground Sunday and Monday since they deliver Saturdays; Tuesday it will have to be.

I'm not supposed to say that amps sound different so I won't, but man that Bryston sounds good.

I noticed that you have two videos. The first one that you linked to is the Silverston 2 file. Since you linked it for the Philharmonics, I guess it is the Philharmonic 3s. It is also by far the best one too so that would also make me think it is the Phils. Which speakers were the other file (Silverstone) from?

They're actually the same video, but one of them had some extra blank footage (46 sec of black screen) that I forgot to delete.

So the entire video should have length of 4:30, not 5:16.

I'm kind of new to this YouTube uploading.

Well, there are a total of 17 tracks. Variety of instruments and vocals. I think I know like one track - Sarah McLachlan - In The Arms Of An Angel.

I don't know the other 16 tracks, but they all sound great.

I just downloaded the new VCMG project 'SSSS' and it sounds stellar through the phils. They are so smooth.

Somebody likes their bass!

Hmmmm.......you might also like this:

On great imaging speakers (ie Salks and Phils) sometimes you'll swear your listening in multichannel.

I was walking through my living room and stopped to hear a song by The Verve, Lucky Man from the Deep Cuts CD

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...018796&sr=1-11

which I hadn't heard in awhile. It's got quite a bit that should sound great through the Philharmonics - violin, organ, a good bass line and stellar balance transfer (which is what stopped me in my tracks). If this sort of music is your thing it might be worth checking out. It was added to my Philharmonic playlist, it should also show off the speaker's imaging capabilities well.

Yes all good suggestions.

I was just listening to NIN's 'Demon Seed' from The Slip in 24/96 (free on Trent's website I might add) and the imaging and cacophony (ie a harsh, discordant mixture of sounds)of noise was impressive through the phils.

Florence + The Machine's 'Shake It Out' also sounded quite good, although I bitterly dislike the occult/esoteric/masonic symbolism and theurgy in that song.
