Thanks! Bookmarked that link. I wont have the money for a long time. (June at the VERY earliest) but i'm looking into 2 channel amps around 2k. That link may be of great help in the future.

What better way to hear it than in your own system? I figure I'll probably be able to sell it for what I paid if it doesn't synergize well with my setup. Before I purchase a new amp, though, I want to attempt to convince the wifey to let me purchase a pair of Phiily 2's. My current amp does 200 wpc into 8 ohms, so I am not hurting for power or anything.

Normaly it is a big no no to buy speakers without hearing them. In your case, since you heard the SoundScapes that should not be as big of an issue. Surely the Phillys will have a somewhat similar type of tone and voicing.

I completely agree with you. Normally I would never think of doing it, but since I have heard all of Salk's speakers, and seeing as how Dennis is the crossover designer, I feel confident that they would be a great purchase even though I wouldn't have a chance to hear them first. I believe Dennis also helped Jim pick the drivers for his current speakers so that helps too.

Dennis seems to be Jim's right hand man for design and research, so I feel pretty comfortable buying blind.

I still can't belive the price. I was looking at 10-15k speakers so I get similar quality/performance and save a ton of cash.

But I figured so many people with similar music tastes seem to love the components and craftspeople involved

Sounds good Rick, I have Dennis' CAOW1s with the OW2 and I really like that tweeter and of course a 5" Seas. And very excited about the Philharmonitor 2s as well. 1-2 weeks......1-2 weeks.....1-2 weeks!!!

Seems we are all in the "waiting pool"!!! Another Funny!!! LOL!

Especially when Dennis is just off having fun, while we just sit here staring at our email..... waiting!!!

But I told him I was patience, don't want to send him the wrong signal!

Kind of glad it's after Christmas anyway, didn't want to fight the DC Christmas traffic....was caught in it one year and never again.!
