Hahaha Yes they are! I could feel the terror Dennis had when he realized he hadn't sent me instructions. :P

Woody Harrelson. :P

Woah! Yeah, destroying a RAAL would be very sad, glad you got that right, you did didn't you?

Well, I am a southerner and I am from Texas, but no kin to Woody!!! Dan Blocker maybe!

More listening reports...kiddo?

They are worlds beyond my previous speakers and I will continue to enjoy these puppies for a LONG time to come....well, unless I mix the red and blue pills and blow a tweeter.

Crystal clear lifelike detailed sound is as good as it gets.

What did I tell you?

Sure, there will be some minor differences here and there with soundstage/image/tonality and all that among all the speakers, but crystal clear lifelike detailed sound is as good as it gets.

Well, okay, adding great subwoofers will increase the pleasure, but you know what I mean.

LOL if I didn't, there would be a picture of me weeping in my mothers arms with a pacifier and a diaper.

Hahahaha :P

:P There will be indeed. However, not when i'm this tired. Later today i'll give more reports.

You were most certainly not wrong, my friend!!

These speakers are truly amazing. I listened to the Max Payne 2 theme, it almost brought me to tears. :P Its one of my favorite pieces of music. I've never heard it played so wonderfully!

Actually, I make a big deal out of it to get people's attention. While they're sober. If you do screw up and blow a tweeter ribbon, it's not the end of the world. RAAL provides a ribbon replacement kit which I have on hand. The ribbon is already mounted in a subassembly that you just drop into the tweeter chassis. That's not the expensive part of the tweeter. The expensive part is the transformer and R&D, which I don't think even my clients could break. Well, maybe artists like Robert.

Dennis,, what is the status on them???

Steve
^^

Well, I know the status of mine should go something like:

"I have a beautiful pair of maple veneer Philharmonic 2's in my living room and I am finalizing assembly of them and the center channel speaker so that Nethawk can pick them up this weekend".

Did you order a pair Steve?

Well, actually the deposit cleared April 26. Unfortunately, I can't locate a seller with any of the SB Acoustics woofs in stock, or the Fountek ribbons for center channels. I've bought everyone out. I'm trying to track down a supply in Canada. I'll try and get a firm update shortly.
Steve, you might want to send Dennis an email at info@philharmonicaudio.com. Unless your check and address include "venture steve" it may be difficult for Dennis to track down your status I know there was a shortage of parts for his speakers that prevented timely shipping, and that Dennis is now hard at work with backlog, so I wouldn't be too nervous.

Edit: Oops, I spoke too soon. I guess Dennis is now hard at work learning to negotiate in Canada-ese.

For a short period of time Dennis thought he wanted to create center channel speakers to go along with his other products. He has decided against this venture and is not building them anymore. I was fortunate enough to get one of the last ones.

There are posts in this thread recommending alternatives, not too many pages/posts back in fact.

Good luck!

You not only got one of the last ones, you got THE last one. On top of that, it was sized to fit your entertainment center opening. How's that for service

I've got an Audible Illusions L3 preamp on the way. I'm hoping it takes the imaging of the Phils to a new level.

Indeed. Now they just need to update the Android app so I can use it again.
Agreed, I wish they had the apps ready to go so they could've launched both together.
Yeah, I'm bummed about the remote apps too, it's been my main source of access the past few months. Hopefully soon, hopefully those non-audiophile iFolks won't be first wink.gif
