Faith is trust, hope, and belief in the goodness or reliability of a person, concept, or entity!

I believe....I believe.....I believe!

d_m1010 I've heard Raal but different mid/low sections... AMAZING

I've heard Neo8 but with no tweet so it was handling everything up to 15k+

On voice vocals... AMAZING

As for that ML-TL... what can one say other than looking at the plots!

Dennis's xover brilliance... ICING ON THE CAKE

There is no question it's going to be an amazing loud speaker for us little fishes at $1.6 to 3k!

Yeah, they sound great now. Took a little while to find the best position and I had to apply a little EQ (a little too much emphasis in the 350hz to 650hz range; probably a room issue.) I know some here are probably freaking out that I'm using EQ in that frequency range.

Of course the danger of visiting these forums is that you keep seeing new options that feed the disease of upgraditis. The best cure is to stop visiting these forums once you get something you like.

Looks great, but let's have a photo with no grills!

I told Dennis to not ship any with my order.

I am glad to hear your new Salks are sounding great, but there was no doubt there. Positioning is important, but when that sweet spot is determined, ain't nothing like it.

Prowling around the forums is informative, that is for sure! However, our hobby is what it is....improving the performance quality of our sound of music that we love and enjoy so much!!!

And sometimes that can be expensive

And this past year has been exciting for me in that I did make the move toward a dream system from Dennis, that I only dreamed about for a long time. So, 2012 will be a exciting as I discover these new speakers.

Hope you guys have an exciting and rewarding New Year!!!

Robert

I see Dennis is back in the US. Guess he'll be back constructing speakers shortly.

Can those who own the Phil gives a litle perspective as to what is the mid character? What i mean is , do they tend to be natural, warm or thin? I got to hear some focal audio a few days ago, cant remember what model but it was s bookshelf. Those focus audio sounded rather warm on the mid and it does gives you that romantic as they call it to it. My current ST sound very neutral to me, i would like to get something slightly warmer, of course without giving up details and cleaness.

I've heard Dennis state before that the only reasonable goal in speaker design is accuracy (Dennis can correct me if I misunderstood). Having heard Salks and a prototype Philharmonic (also seeing FR graphs of both), I think Dennis intends the Philharmonics to be as accurate as possible.

In my audition at Dennis's, the primary difference I heard was the Philharmonic had a more open sound, most likely primarily due to the open back behind the midrange driver.

I have Focal Electras and I find them pretty honest and revealing.

Wouldn't he have posted if that were true? I think you are biting at the bit.

Woodsart will be picking up both a pair of 2's and a pair of .75 cu ft Philharmonitors. I'm using him as a guinea pig to perfect the crossover and bass tuning for the larger monitor cabinet. That could take a couple of days or three. But he'll certainly have everything ready to complain about by the end of the week.

Good morning guys!!!!

And "HAPPY NEW YEAR"

We are all biting at the bit, not much bit left for me, but I told DMurphy that I am patient and will wait patiently.

And, the forthcoming review I mentioned with the pic from Bob (fsimms) post of his buddy's Phil2s. And he said he would be reviewing them very soon.

Sorry if that was confusing, thought you (Dennis) saw the post on Audioholics!

Believe me, I will be posting all kinds of pics when I get back from Bethesda!!!

WHOOHOOOOO!!!

THANKS! Dennis, your post must of come inbetween me posting this one, but that is exciting.....I will await to hear from you, we will make our plans for our weekend in DC!!!!

NOW I AM EXCITED!!!!!

Except..... do guinea pigs have to have shots!!!! Yikes!!!!

That I will complain about!!! (:

Sounds like YOU need some NEW Speakers - where are your NEW Philharmonics?

Could you maybe not troll every thread you post in? I don't need new speakers, which I've made abundantly clear. That's not to say I won't be checking out the Phil's, though, as on paper they represent one of the best bargains I've ever seen. Seriously, though, enough with your antics, DPS. Please act your age.

Dennis is right, this Sunday, very excited, he has been listening to both pairs and says He thinks I will like them!!! HA!!!

Had a death in the family and had to re-schedule.

You guys will hear from me real soon.

Woodsart, I'm sorry to hear your news, our prayers to you and the families involved. I'm relatively local to Dennis and will visit his shop soon to listen. I heard them at Washington Audio Fest this summer and his was one of 3 rooms I visited twice. When I auditioned them the first time Friday, they put the Salks to shame so there must have been a setup error, female voice was much better focused on the Philharmonic's. The Joseph Audio Pulsar and the room with Wilson Sashas & Dan's mono amps were the other rooms I liked. The best sound for the bucks by a long shot was the Philharmonic speakers driven by VA gear! I bet the entire rig cost less than the Nordost cables in the Wilson room. I need to call Dennis and schedule a session and get ready to spend some bucks.

Thanks, appreciate it!

I highly suggest that you see Dennis for a audio session and yes I agree with you, "the best sound for the bucks by a long shot is Philharmonicaudio.com".
