I thought I knew which speakers I was gonna get, but noooooooooo, there's so many manufactures it give me a headache. I was gonna get Polk TSi, then SVS S series, then I saw ARX, Axiom, Aperion Intimus 4T Hybrid SD, and many more that have came and gone in my search for a inexpensive quality system


In all seriousness the info on this forum is TOP NOTCH!!!!! This forum rocks

Start with the Aperions as they have the 30day in home trial period.

The Polk TSi's are pretty Much Polk Monitors with a name change and flashy new coat.

Also, check out the Hsu HB-1 Mk2s. They are excellent.

I completely agree with you. So many options and information overload good thing I started researching four months before I planned on buying anything. I created a pretty sizable excel document with all the products I was interested and price comparisons so that could be a good method to help control the madness for you as well.

At first I thought it was Anubisrocks. He either deleted his account or was banned, probably due to the trainwreck he caused in the Paradigm thread, and I thought he registered a new account to get in one last word.

That certainly did turn into a train wreck, it was getting quite ridiculous towers the end.

It's tuff all the way around. It's kinda tuff to decide when you can go somewhere local and listen. That gets hard when the shops are so far away, and each use different AVR's, Pre/Pro's and amps connected to the speakers you want to hear.

Second hardest is when the speakers are 'Internet Direct', yes some have 30 day trial, but you still have to go thru the ordering and returning.

I think the hardest is something that is just not located in your area at all, you can only go by what others and reviews have said.

I had a tuff time also, but I feel I lucked up and was able to demo some fantastic speakers that I really love.

Getting the subs was hard, since they were I.D. and the cost.

I always find it interesting to note the type of attitude of those who "have" and those who "have not."

Over the many years, it's becoming increasingly clear the people with attitude like his will remain "have nots" for the rest of their lives.

Just thought it was interesting.

And yes to the OP. It's very easy to get information overload from AVS. I'm sure many people feel exactly the same. Have fun researching, but remember to sleep. It's easy to lose track of time on here.
