3D Samsung/Mitsubishi adult to kids glasses conversion?

Has anyone taken the adult 3D glasses from samsung or Mitsubishi and altered them in a way to fit a child? It seems like it could be done which would save me some $ from buying 1 set for my youngest. Then it could be changed back again when the grow out of it or when we have friends over

Someone zip-tied glasses to a baseball hat and said it worked well.
