This is a good set for size. Your not getting amazing picture. Your getting amazing size. (For lcd) as well all know the cheaper route is dlp or projectors.
I want to explain these attacks:
To do so a bit of history with a competing dealer. They essentially got run out of AVS then stated their own forum (to also use as marketing vehicle). Trouble consumers were knew better, and only a few die-hards went there. Failing that, they are back hyping the Sharp Elite to create a new religious experience, just as was done for the old Pioneer Elite plasmas. They need a new king (in reality its to charge consumers double+).
The bee in their bonnet is Sharp has an almost identical display to the Elite: its our own 735.

Both displays share the same considerable strengths and weaknesses as the quality and technology built into the LCD panel is the primary indicator of image quality. Since both use the same panel from the same production line, the color, sharpness and contrast are identical.
Both display use full array LED backlighting. The Elite adds local dimming which will ultimately perform better in a dark room. In fact Sharp's own demo are only conducted in a bat cave. Why?
The Elites glossy screen prevents recommendation in a day-lit family room as the reflections will seriously degrade contrast. With a matte screen the 735 has no such issues and is better suited to the vast majority of consumer family rooms.
As several members are reporting, these displays (like all thin LCD panels) can have issues with panel uniformity or Dirty Screen Effect (DSE). So know the stores exchange policy for "dirty" screens before purchasing. To Sharps credit they are quickly to exchanging panels.
For those who don't want to splurge on the 735, Sharp also sells a 60" 633 for considerable less. The colors pop and motion is very clear. Here are the rave reviews from upscale consumers:
