Does Denon 4802 support 96khz 24 bit audio

I am thinking of getting a squeezebox touch to hook up to a Denon 4802. Denon manual states that it support 96/24 DTS audio streams, but, does anyone know if it supports 2 ch 96/24 PCM ( as I think the SB touch outputs) also?

Yes, the denon 4802R supports 96/24 PCM signals. It uses the Analog Devices AD-1864 DAC for all channels.

Thanks for the reply. I assume 8402. (non R version) does also, then.

Alex, I guess so. I took the data from 2003 Denon's AVR comparison chart.

You know, that kind of info one tend to collect now and then. At that time I was looking to an AVR and I fanally got the 3803 and this chart mentions the 4802R.

Nice AVR, BTW. Good luck!
