Hey guys, just want to start by saying thanks for all the helpful advice over the past month! You guys have been a great help!
I am kind of a newbie when it comes to turn tables and vinal and was hoping you guys could shed some light for me on this subject. My questions are;
1. What all would I need to be able to play vinal on the zone 2 of my newly acquired Denon AVR-4308?
2. What is a phono pre-amp used for? Would I have to use a phono pre-amp with the zone 2 of my Denon AVR-4308?
3. What are some decent budget turn tables in the price range of $400.00 and below?
Any tips/advise you guys could give me would be terrific!

. For all the bad rap that Technics rack systems (read- Matsushita[Panasonic, etc.]) got in the 80's, their turntables were remarkably solid and well liked by "most". I actually own/owned other mainstream brands like Pioneer, Sony and Garrard, but I've used, sold and appreciated Technics too.
