LG AG-S250 RF 3D glasses warning - Page 3

i had to call & email mulitple times before they exchanged my glasses with the .64 version.

OK, Thanks for the info Mental, would have tried again knowing that, fortunately Currys sorted me out.
Just wanted to share my experience to let people know what they may expect.
Lots of reviews on amazon mention the problem but they seem happy to put up with it, I wasn't.

just been intouch with LG chatline they telling i have to send my paire in for repair if nothing is wrong tey will just send them back
Well they not gonna find anything wrong of cause but in my eyes there is

sent them back, a new pair arrived today with new FW

i have the same problem with the same tv, i have also purchased a new pair of the ag-s350 glass witch i cannot get to work on the tv at all after asking lg if the model number was compatible with tv. and they have said yes they are how ever i cannot pair them the my tv....so yes same problem= another unhappy customer

Yeah I have 4 pairs of these glasses and they switch off halfway through a movie. I took them back to the shop where I bought them from and they say that LG know about the problem and this is why they have change their glasses on the new TV. What do we do in the interim? The new one's do exactly the same thing. One other thing LG did not want me to send the glasses to them I had to take it back to the store where I purchased them from.

Well after months of putting it off, I contacted LG and they are sending me 2 replacements. Hopefully all will be good.

Has anybody tried to buy these recently? I'm having a hard time finding them besides ebay....

I held off on getting these when I bought the TV almost two years ago, waiting to see if I even desired to see 3D. Now, the glasses are scare and expensive. Ebay just has singles, if you want two pairs forget it.

I found some at videoandaudiocenter.com for $79 each, no tax free shipping. No idea if they're .63 or .64. I was up to page 15 or 16 of the google results. Some weird version of buy.com (rakuten or...something) also had them at that price.

Yeah, they are priced fairly high now. I remember seeing them around $55.00 on Amazon for a while. Now up to $99.00.
If you live by a Fry's, they are $60 I believe but they don't ship them. No idea if the firmware is .63 or .64.
Still waiting for my replacements to come. It's been 12 days.

I checked on Fry's com and searched the stores in my state, and even in my inlaws state, but it came back with nothing.

pfft, nevermind. I had to call them for them to tell me the system didn't recognize it was on backorder. So, don't order from that place.

Still looking for options. If LG has these in warehouse for replacement, why can't them sell them???

Been over a month and I still haven't received the replacements. I am going to give them hell tomorrow.
These glasses are getting harder to come by for a decent price. No way I'm spending more than $50 for a new pair. Even then, there is still a good chance that I'll get ones with .63 firmware and have to deal with their poor customer service again.
I'm jealous of my brother's passive 3D TV. There seems to be more depth and no hassle with the glasses. I do notice slight decrease in image quality but it's not enough of a con for me. The picture still looks fantastic. I did buy a Panasonic 3D TV over Black Friday but some stuff came up and I had to return it. Never had a chance to turn it on.

I got a "used once" pair on ebay for $160. I had the feeling it was either now or never. they are .63 firmware. I will just make a dramtic movement over to my water glass during movies

Ouch.

Seriously, they should just release a application that allows us to update the firmware ourselves. It'll save us and them trouble. I just got off with someone with chat support and nothing seemed to have gotten accomplished. Pretty much, "We'll get back to you".

I should say, by pair I mean TWO sets of glasses. But now I see that pair of glasses comes off like pair of pants...for one person's use. So, $80 for each pair.

The only 3D movie I have is Rio and I don't think it was encoded for 3D correctly...
