Hello friends. I am a Pakistani but live in Riyadh for many years. I am pharmacist by profession but working as Patent Attorney in an Intellectual Property Law firm since 1989 (the year I got married too). Besides my work and family, i love to hear music and watching blu-rays is my hobby. I have cinema in my home since 10 years having 120" screen with projectors and I always keep changing AV receivers and speakers, etc. Love multimedia including home cinema especially since blu-rays hit the market. I mean this dts-hd is far far amazing thing to enjoy on a big screen. I have 15" subs in my main right and left speakers and two 18 inches subs in my cinema so you can imagin the bass. Its shaking which i enjoy the most.
Almost 5 years ago, one day I woke up and realized that my right ear is unable to hear as if it is full of wax as i used to swim as well. I went to my doctor and he almost gave me heart attack by saying your ears are perfectly clear and no wax is there to clean, so he run the tests and was unable to figure out except that he declared that it is Ménière's disease http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9...'s_disease
He put me on BETASERC (perhaps not available in US) for several months by which i was able to stop damage but so far i never get better and doctor kept doing hearing tests every 2-3 months but no use. After about 2-3 years I started having ringing and then again doctor advised me that this is all due to Meniere's and nothing can be cured except that you must get used to of it. Now its been almost 5-6 years and i have partial deafness (i can only enjoy low and mid frequencies) in my right year with tinnitus so you can imagine how much i am suffering but good part that still i can enjoy bass.
Finally i got dismayed completely with time and now I am all alone thinking of having suicide sometimes. Oh, its really killing. Finally by myself, having googling day and night finally i reached to this page:http://www.tinnitool.com/en/therapie...iten/index.php
and ordered one and now almost an year i am using it, though it did not minimize my tinnitus but it is stable and not increasing. I must admit that I did not use this tool on regular basis and I believe this is not good. One should use it every day for 20 minutes and for several months. It is expensive but you know in such situation one is ready to spend any amount just to get cure.
I just shared my experience with hope, perhaps someone can benefit from this.
Best of luck and let us keep this thread alive.
