Hope it works well. And if so I saved $300.
Any feedback on this brand?
Sure. You paid $55 too much for HDMI cables. I've been buying Monoprice cables for years, dating back to the S-Video era; every cable has been excellent, easily equal in quality to Monster, at a much cheaper price - especially for digital media (HDMI, S/PDIF, etc); bits is bits is bits, and as long as the cable can carry the signal without voltage drop, you will not hear any difference
between HDMI brands. It either works, or it doesn't. I have a 100' HDMI cable at the office running from a PC to a flat panel, with a 10' HDMI cable from the wall to the PC on one end, and a 3' HDMI cable from the wall to a HDMI repeater (110' exceeds the spec for HDMI, necessitating a repeater) then a 1.5' cable from the repeater to the panel. The setup works perfectly
. On my home theater system all of my cables are Monoprice - I own some Monster cables (they were freebies, either bundled with components I've bought or given to me) and I don't use them at all. All my TOSLink, HDMI, and Phono/"RCA" cables as well as Phono/RCA to 1/8" headphone are from Monoprice and they work just fine. For speaker cable, I run Radio Shack speaker cable (12ga) for my front main and center channels, and for the surround channels I use Monoprice speaker cable, and Monoprice banana jacks (again, replacing some Monster banana jacks that were freebies), and it sounds great. Coat hangers would sound equally well.
Never waste money on botique cable, unless it's for bragging rights. It's a colossally stupid waste of money. If you "hear" any difference at all, it's due to the placebo effect.
Update: after thinking about this, I can come up with a valid reason for botique cables; they are often available in custom colors. If you want to show off your installation you may want botique cables, but you really will not have a sound improvement unless you are upgrading from dollar-store unshielded analog cables to shielded cables.
