Wow gorgeous speakers. I've never heard of them before. What's the story behind them? Any brands they share a tonal quality with?

Hi thanks the speakers are australian design and also made in australia made of vich ash wood cut by a machine that cost millions with laser thats why u get the nice curves the colour is bubinga which is an aboriginal name and they run on 4 ohms sound is excellent the designer Colin Whatmough died in january 2011 from a heart attack been building top end speakers for over 30 years and was nice block always calm and ready to help i learnt a lot from him and lucky i became friends with him.

Awesome set up!! Good Job!

Just curious... Do you have something to control the light on the window behind the screen?

Ahh trusty subsonic xs1 mkii.
I own the subsonic xs1 mki but my father has the mkii,
Definately a great subwoofer and for $1200 you cant argue with its value.
Rediciously deep bass and quick fast response

Looks great! I love that all the speakers are at ear height when seated (or real close to it), I can't do that with my rears since the backs of my couches are really high. I'm getting ready to go from 5.1 to 7.1 and am wondering how much of a difference you think it is in your room. I don't know how often you monitor this thread but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Nice speakers!. They do look pretty with that wood showing. Same here, never heard of this brand, and i just looked at their web site and they look expensive haha. Enjoy your setup smile.gif

This is a nice looking room. Love the sofa, nice gear as well.

But it is also puzzling. It seems obvious you are aware of the issue of room reflections lowering contrast of a projected image, which is I presume why you went to the trouble of doing all your
walls in dark black.

But then you left the ceiling, the surface nearest your screen, a brutal reflective pure white! That seems to rather undermine the effort you placed elsewhere.

What was the thinking on that decision?
