Well, it would be nearly impossible for the machine to be able to predict an event six months into the future. What bothers ME is that they only get ONE number at a time. You would expect that there would be dozens of numbers a night that would meet the critria. It takes a few days to work eah cace, so wouldn't there be many more numbers than they could reasonably expect to help? At least this should be mentioned in the show.

How come no new episode this week?

The machine didn't give them a new number.

It's probably located in Connecticut and didn't have power...

I lost interest in "Persons of Interest" after 2 1/2 episodes. Did it get any better? Is it worth catching up?
the show has become very good and has really come up with some good storylines.
I had it on the bubble early on as well, but I am glad I stuck with it. It isn't without its flaws, but I am quite enjoying the last few episodes.

I recently lost interest when Reese killed someone and there was no police investigation. Police investigate all homicides. It would have been a great and fun challenge for the writers of this show to go that route and somehow found a way to protect Reese's identity. But no they chose to insult the viewer's intelligence instead.
That sort of thing happens all the time in most cop/action shows and is sort of the norm. If you really want your intelligence insulted, I would suggest Terra Nova, Falling Skies and some others long before Person of Interest.

To quote Payback "That is just mean, man."

Why would he get investigated?

He has a dirty cop on his side, and Finch can hijack the police computers.

Hard to say. Personally, I've lost interest in it and haven't watched the newest episode. I think I'm done, but my wife may still watch it (she's less decided than I am).

I think it's an interesting concept, but it just never grabbed me and sucked me in.

I'm still onboard for Person of Interest. In fact, it is one of my favorite new shows. I think both Jim Caviezel and Michal Emerson are talented and bring it to bear in this show. Deathless art, it's not but it has been good enough to make me look forward to seeing it every week.

Anyone who gave up, gave up too early.

The show has been great.
It has been getting better as it gets into its groove. I think it really hit its stride with the The Fixer Zoe Morgan episode. Everything clicked for the first time. If they could bring her in every show to fix what Reese breaks, we get to see Paige Turco every week and the ones who can't convince themselves this is just a TV show, Zoe Morgan can fix it all up! Everyone wins!

Love Paige Turco. She should be a regular. Person of Interest is a show I always watch or record. I was upset when I recorded a rerun last week. I guess I need to pay more attention.

The preview/commercial they were running last night......... Anyone else notice that the hood that flies off the car after Reese shoots it appears that it was drawn on the video with a black crayon? If they can't do better effects than that, why have the hood fly off at all?

Poor "Mr. Widmore"; another untimely end..

Killing with needles very interesting to me.

This show keeps improving.
I am glad dirty cop is back. Don't know why exactly. As for the show and the episodes, if you have seen one you have seen them all. Each week it's the same familiar stuff:

Finch: Oh Reese, we have new number, but we don't know if the person is the killer or victim. You know what to do: follow him/her, beat up a bunch of people in the process without ever being noticed by the police or witnesses, and just click a few buttons on your phone to clone the other person's when you need to.

Reese: Okay Finch.

CBS: Oh Davidt1, we have new episode, but we don't know if you'll like it or not. You know what to do: watch the show, complain and chuckle in the process without ever being noticed by your friends or family, and just click a few buttons on your remote to change channels when you need to.

Davidt1: Okay CBS.

... Sorry Davidt1, but why do you watch?

So that he can use the power of the internet ???
to complain
I myself thought it was a great episode , Soviet spies ,poison needles , cool silent pistol, Girl gets saved in the end . Hey it's way better than the "Vampire Diaries"
I'm still liking it and still wishing Caviezel was a bit less monotone. The plots are interesting enough and just different enough to suit me. It was a nice touch in this latest one that they show Reese isn't quite superhuman and can be beaten, at least temporarily by an equal adversary. I also really enjoyed the deadpan answer Reese gave when asked about the sniper shot: "what will you do if you miss?" - to which he says: "don't know...never have".

What else is on in that time slot?

The show has some interesting elements, what's wrong with wanting it to be better?

You would think somebody at "CBS" would be watching like David1, and be like: hey, thats pretty good, but whats with all these jarring WTF moments that keep popping up?

'Person of Interest' Exclusive: A Thanksgiving Treat From the Show's Producers
By AOLTV.com Staff - November 23rd, 2011

Michael Emerson fans, we may have something of 'Interest' for you.

On Sunday, CBS will rebroadcast two episodes of 'Person of Interest,' the pilot and the Oct. 27 episode, 'The Fix.' But for fans of the Emerson-Jim Caviezel drama, the real treat will arrive online, a bit later that night.

Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman, two of the show's executive producers, have recorded a special audio track with thoughts and memories on the making the 'Person of Interest' pilot.

The version of the pilot with the commentary track will be available at 1AM ET Monday morning on CBS' site, but we've got an exclusive excerpt from that enhanced pilot below. [CLICK LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS STORY]

If you want to watch (or re-watch) the regular, non-enhanced version of the pilot, which hasn't been online for several weeks, it will be reposted at CBS.com/PersonOfInterest Monday, along with a regular version of 'The Fix.' All three hours (both versions of the pilot as well as 'The Fix') will be online at 1AM Monday.

The next new episode of the show, which follows Emerson and Caviezel's characters, Finch and Reese, as they investigate people who may be involved in nefarious activities, will air Dec. 8. In that hour, the ongoing story about Det. Carter, a New York detective who is investigating the pair, takes a big step forward.

As fans know, the premise of 'Person of Interest' is that Finch and Reese use a special computer program to find targets for their investigations. In 'Get Carter,' guess whose name pops out of the machine? That of Det. Carter (Taraji P. Henson).

Another bonus: Mark Margolis ('Breaking Bad's' Tio Hector Salamanca) guests in that outing. Ben Linus and Tio Hector in one hour of television? Now you have our 'Interest.'

The show has really found its groove. I was so-so on it when it began, but as I've gotten attached to the finch and reese characters, every week I look forward to it more and more.
