'Person Of Interest' on CBS HD - Page 12

They showed an xray of the fusion surgery when he was in the ER one time so they could help out a doctor there.

But they never explained why he needed it....yet.

When they did the flashback to Finch building the machine .. he did not have the limp or the stiff neck ..

In that episode the last flashback with Finch was 2004 (when "The Founder" found out about the true secret of the machine) and he didn't have it then so it happened between 2004 and the present.

I did find it interesting that in the last original episode and Reese walked in and didn't see Finch and he started looking at this books, the one he pulled out was, "Ghost in the Machine." How apropos!

I think the neck fusion was part of Finch being "dead". He mentioned early on in the show how everyone thinks he is dead.

I just hope at some point they get to that story and I think they will.

Maybe he was thrown out of the window of an eight story building.

He's just got a stiff neck from a hard landing in a hot air balloon.

The Fixer episode was good. This one was better! The window exit was a little expected, but the rest of the episode was very good, IMHO. This show just keeps getting better and better.

I did like this episode, but I didn't understand how they missed the "boyfriend" so easily.

Because the rolls were reversed. It was the classic, fish out of water tale.

Excellent episode. I love this show (although I record it and watch Grey's Anatomy "live").

Best episode so far. This show has improved significantly since it's debut.

was this past Thursday's episode (Jan 12) a new one or a repeat?

New

I'm happy this series won TPC for best new drama but will that help get a renewal ? Sure hope so ..

14 million viewers? Might not need any help. Though, at CBS, the bar IS higher.
I was just on the verge of giving up on this show when we got into some great recurring story lines and background information on our three principle characters. The last three episodes have been the best so far. It's earned by viewership.
Yea, I think there should be no worry about renewal. It's one of the few shows in a long time whose viewership has been *growing* week to week and by a lot. I believe it started out around 8-9 million viewers and now up to 14 and still growing? Yea, it'll be renewed. If this keeps up CBS knows they may have finally got their next CSI or NCIS here if they do it right.

Almost deleted my season pass on POI. This series has grown on me. Not a must watch right away show but one worth DVRing for later viewing. Glad to see the ratings are decent.

Only 14 million? Wouldn't that put a CBS series "on the bubble"?

Agree that POI has gotten pretty good. I've grown accustomed to Caviezel's "Batman w/o a costume" persona. Not the greatest TV drama ever made, but its one serialized sorta-procedural that has earned my viewership.

It's taken alot to get the plot arcs in place & have a viable back story to all of the players ,the writers can now start the process to developing more complex themes & individual episode plots now that the solid base of the show is laid down .

I am really enjoying the lead in "eye-in-the-sky" camera & search functions that the "Machine" is now showing as now that info is relative to the plot of the current episode .

They have also played a bit - manly in flashbacks - on the fact that the "Machine" is doing a lot of thinking that creeps into the "Skynet" realm of AI. I get the sense that Finch has still not let on as to how powerful his creation really is. I assume this plot point will come up in the future.

I am really liking Carter on the team.
I began to think that Reese had gone to work for the phone company as an Operator!

Interesting how the text of the 2nd paragraph of the obit was essentially a copy and paste of the first paragraph. Is this the first mention of his death or did I miss an episode?

You must have. Harold was in his old building in an early episode and the lobby had a tribute similar to a headstone.
Up to now we have been led to believe that Harold was now the owner, but with the son in the picture, and how he made the comment that he owned the business, wonder if all this "love" will last. Lots of "cracks" starting to form now. Reese is really concerned about Harold in a way he previously hasn't been and with both Lionel and Carter working for them without each other knowing it, has huge implications. You add in the CIA......

The web is getting more complicated.

Yeah, this is the only primetime show that I look forward to watching every week. I even watched it live last night, commercials and all.
