I think I've found my new go-to app for music ID along with other identification purposes. Thanks again for the tip!

Lone dissenter here.  As much as I love this show, I thought the main plot of this episode - the Mr.&Mrs. Smith takeoff - was terrible.  Nothing remotely realistic about that couple and I like both actors normally.  I get that they can't spend a great deal of time fleshing out the story, but that miracle reconciliation after wanting to murder each other by paid assassin was beyond ridiculous.  My only point is that I think they could have a similar story with more believable interactions than this.  It doesn't put me off the show at all, just a reality check that even the best can stumble now and then.  Good Wife has even had the temerity of being less than perfect this season.  Imagine that.

I can't argue against the proposition that the premise of the couple trying to kill each other was pretty silly. Still, I tend to forgive Person of Interest's occasional silliness because of how exciting the show always is and how uniformly good the performances are. For example the showrunners cast Mark Pelligrino and the still beautiful Francie Swift, two actors I really like, as the not so loving couple.

IIRC, Glover had it pressed against the thug's back.

And as others stated it's not "next to impossible to shoot nails into the air".

Could not agree more. Liked the guest stars, but a decidedly sub-par episode. Even the humor couldn't save this ludicrous episode with its sudden lovey dovey reconciliation. Even the best shows by definition have to have sub-par nights.

I have to agree that the last episode was full of satire, but then you have to remember that this show is fiction to begin with. A lot of people hold these fictional programs at high standards to reality, but when you do this, you may be asking too much. The nail gun shooting off in the air for example... Now the cameras all over the place watching, is another story.

Sorry 'bout that. Sometimes while reading the forum at work I don't have the time to click on every link.

Nice to see Bear in action in this episode, besides being a friendly companion to Finch and Reese.

Officially, what kind of dog is Bear? Don't think he's a German Shepard (kind of looks like one, but isn't).
I think it was already mentioned that Bear is in fact a German Shepard. Something about reacting only to commands spoken in German. I think they've also toned down the fake emotion (for lack of a better word) sounds coming from him, at least in this episode.

Yup, that's what Google says as well, apparently it's a Belgian Malinois

More images

One result mentioned it was the type of dog used to help get Bin Laden.

Dutch.

Season 2 Episode 1, 29 minutes in, Reese says what kind of dog it is (Belgian something or other), and that the trainers only use Dutch.

If I knew my TV equipment was spying on me, I'd make it a point to do a little waggle dance in front of it each day just in hopes the phone would ring with some guy at the other end saying, "please....for the love of God.....stop doing that...."

Then I'd do it twice as often.... wink.gif

We can't all be Brad Pitt, but each of us has an important role to play...

Interesting new graphics from the machine last episode. Speaking of the ones connecting Fusco to HR.

Also, nice to see an old "The Unit" actor again. smile.gif

Show back in top form with this latest military charity episode. Several simultaneous interweaved and not plot threads. No how does the man in the suit get out of this one? You can bank on it that he does. smile.gif

Funny stuff at the beginning as John and Harold are giving Bear a bath! biggrin.gif Obviously, the writers made sure to remember that if you have a dog, you have to take care of it!

Don't want the animal lovers screaming at you about not taking proper care of your pet!
I think Carter and Fusco will figure out how to get Reese out, in any case the feds have his face now... they only had some blurry imanges of a man in a suit, perhaps this won't hold in court and he walks..

Well, if Reese doesn't get out of it there goes the show. smile.gif

I would rather the dog never have been in the show. I think it lowers the quality of the program, POI did not need this kind of comedy.
I guess it increases the ratings though.

I'm missing Reese throwing someone thru a window. mad.gif

Exactly. Clearly Finch needed a cat.

Or Finch will set up one of the bad guys that were caught (probably the one with similar looks to Reese) to take the fall. The problem is that later the "guy in the suit" will reappear . . .
