The motorcycle through the window was a nice substitute, but, yeah, if they don't get back to throwing people out windows, doors, walls ..... biggrin.gif

It is time Reese gets a new "suit"!

I must admit, I didn't see the multi man in the suit coming. That was a good slight of hand on the part of the writers.

If I had to bet, Fusco and HR comes to the rescue! Fusco has been has been AWOL this season. Time for some payback!

Interesting, as last season, during the Christmas break, we go into a mini cliffhanger. And last year also had the CIA shooting Reese! The CIA is again at it. Nice. I like these writers!

AOL = America On Line
AWOL = Absent Without Leave

Fusco has been pretty much AWOL.

Mr. Reese, can we interest you in a nice cardigan?

I thought the revenge plot to get back at the evil and crooked mortgage lender who had victimized veterans was silly. It didn't bother me much, though, because as silly as Person of Interest so often is, it is elevated by the talent of its two stars and its uniformly outstanding guest stars. As somebody said in another thread, great actors make up for a lot of silliness.

Yes, they have a lot of excellent guest actors.

It was nice to see Michelle (Reiko Aylesworth) from 24 2 weeks ago smile.gif

Just thought I'd let the fine folks who read this thread know that Amazon has dropped the price of the POI Season 1 Blu-ray/DVD/Ultraviolet Combo Pack down to $21.99. Great price. Link:
http://www.amazon.com/Person-Interest-Season-One-Blu-ray/dp/B0053O8ALE/

This is the lowest historical price on Amazon. Link:

And for PQ/AQ buffs, a glowing review from Blu-ray(dot)com, which gave this title a rating of 5/5 for both video and audio:

Thanks for posting the Amazon price drop. My wife and I found ourselves watching the repeats even though we saw the shows when they were first aired. We never do that. The show is better than I expected. Well written and acted. Love the characters and the suspense.

You're quite welcome smile.gif

I agree that this show has good replay value. While I do not collect many TV shows on Blu-ray, I may have to purchase this one primarily to check out one of its bonus features -- an extended cut of the pilot episode that's almost 15 minutes longer than the broadcast version.

New episode tonight! smile.gif

Enjoyable episode. I particularly enjoyed the inference that Finch is sort of a secret superhero in the hacker world the same way Reese is one in covert ops.

Did I miss something, or did they never resolve the drug dealers hunting down the kid? How can the kid just go to school the next day? Was the idea that he can now pay them off?

The code snippet on the dropped paper was in C and had a number of errors. For instance, your includes are always first, never last. smile.gif

They did not resolve that, maybe on purpose.

I didn't watch the show yet.. it's on the DVR. But what about Reese getting hauled in by the Feds with the bad guys last episode? How did he get out of that one? confused.gif

He didn't, he's still in jail. It shows how amazingly good this show is when the supporting characters can carry the entire episode and the main character isn't even missed. smile.gif

Maybe that's why his code was revolutionary smile.gif

I'm wondering if Jim Caveizel was in the process of making a theatrical movie during this stretch of shows and that's why he had (is having) minimal scenes.

Maybe this one, September, 2012: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1797487/

I wish he'd been off being Jack Reacher, instead of the Ken doll.

Finch mentioned the problem of the drug dealer and the last we saw was Fusco saying "I'll take care of it"

Loved the episode. Great though phoney background legend Arpanet story with Finch. I actually remember Arpanet. IMPs.

Outstanding show last night. Doesn't let you walk away or miss a minute when it is this kind of quality entertainment.

Absolutely! I really enjoy those books, but to use Cruise as Reacher? Talk about ruining the potential film franchise by using an incredibly miscast actor.

I believe they did. In the scene prior to Finch catching up with Wonder Boy, Finch and Fusco had a conversation that included Finch saying something to the effect of "leave the drug dealers to me", he may have even used his name, Lorenzo(although I'll always remember him as Wee-Bey from The Wire!) possibly? Anyway, the impression I got was that the drug business was no longer an issue.

I don't mean to drag the thread into an OT rant about Cruise, who I have actually enjoyed in a number of films.

But when I saw the very first episode of PoI my reaction to Caviezel as Reese was pretty much "that's Jack Reacher!" Reese has since become a bit less Reacher-like, but I still think JC would be the perfect actor for that character.

I agree, he's of comparable height, a little bit slighter in build, but his demeanor has been very Reacher-like during parts of this show.

I'm afraid that seeing Cruise play the part in the film is going to ruin my perception of the character in future books.

I hadn't even considered the similarity of John Reese, as played by Jim Caviezel,to Jack Reacher but agree there is one. Like Reacher, Reese is ordinarily cool and restrained but is capable of awesome violence when necessary.

I have read and loved all of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books, so I went into the Jack Reacher film, starring little Tom Cruise, with more than a little trepidation. I was not only surprised but delighted by how much I liked the film. Although Cruise is, indeed, a little guy he is incredibly athletic and moves like a cat in all of his action sequences. Soon enough, I stopped worrying about Cruise's small stature and got caught up in his portrayal of Jack Reacher going medieval on a bunch of bad guys. I look forward as much as ever to Child's next Reacher book Try the Cruise film, I think you'll like it, 8 Stars out of 10.

I used to have an ARPANet/DARPANet email address years ago. Before Google there was ARCHIE!
