When the FBI agent caught up to Carter and Reese, like another poster said, it was inevitable that he was going to die. Felt kind of like a cheap way out but just WHO did it was a fun twist. Only way it would have all been better is if Zoe were back. Wish she were a regular cast member. I like the case of the week interjected with some of these backstory episodes. Keeps it from all being too formulaic.

Now, someone help me out with something. I remember the previous episode when Reese and his old partner were ordered to kill each other, but I don't think we knew the woman who gave them their orders (about getting the suitcase) at that point. Is she not the same woman who cornered Finch about the machine before Root killed her and captured Finch? I'm having a hard time recalling how she fit back into to the present story.

Yes, that same now dead woman.

The shlub (Fusco) got the supermodel (she kissed him and said call me). What is this world coming to? biggrin.gif

I wonder how Rhonda's going to take this.

Yeah I think he had her when he said something to the effect of " only one of of us is going to make it out alive, when I start shooting..you GO!"

Probably one of the best episodes of the entire series, very entertaining. I loved the scene at the end where Finch was in riot gear and ready to break out Reese.

I loved the look on Harold's face when he was on the "mission" to save Reese and Carter, and the pay phone rang. He ignored it and the next one rang. He ignored it too, then the third one rang. He looked up at a camera, and sort of sighed, and answered it. Then he had to go back to his library to decode the message. biggrin.gif

One of, if not the best so far IMO. Really enjoyed that episode.

This series gets better and better, I really enjoy it. Yeah it's not at all realistic but it's a fun ride almost every week.

I was at a charity function a few weeks ago and Kevin Chapman (Fusco) was one of the celebrity attendees. A few of the guys from Sons of Anarchy were there. Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. Some of the Housewives of NJ and a few assorted other folks. I couldn't WAIT to go up to Kevin Chapman and get a picture. Shake his hand. Tell him I'm a big fan. Thought he was fantastic in Brotherhood on Showtime as well.

My inner TV show fan geek came out!

I know exactly how you feel. For about 10 years in a row from the mid 80s to mid 90s I had a friend who invited me to the Molson Beer Suite at the Indy 500. I was in Hog Heaven with all of the celebrities (TV, Movie, and Sports Stars) who also were in the suite (usually different ones each year). The neat thing was in that environment, they were just plain folks like most of us and very easy to talk to. Those were the days, my friend.

The only issue I had with that scene was where are you going to find a street nowadays where there's a payphone every 10 feet? Lucky if you can find one phone every 10 blocks.

It depends on whether the phones are working or not.

At this point, they probably stay until they break, then out they come. It's likely cheaper to leave a working phone in place than remove it if they don't have to.

Honestly, the thing that always made me laugh in the 70's and 80's were all the times you saw someone rip a page out of the phone book at a phone booth. I can't say I ever came across more than one pay phone that actually had a phone book available.

I wonder if there has ever been a scene in a movie or TV show where the guy goes to look up a number in one of those books, but finds the page has been ripped out....that actually would have been a good gag in T2: the T1000 goes to look up the name "Conner", only to find the page was previously torn out by the original Terminator from part 1. wink.gif

Out here on the west coast when it was still Pacific Bell and they owned the booths there was almost always a phone book in them, sometimes more than one even. This goes back to pre-mobile days of course, today I can't even remember the last time I saw a pay phone, might have been in San Francisco.

About the only place I could imagine there might be 3 booths in a row as there were in POI would be outside a jail.

I for one will miss Miss Angel of Death. And Finch's name in the burning wreckage...Hmmmm.
Looks like the writers are throwing an extra-national conspiratorial SMERSH-like organization as the ultimate villians into the mix.

Somehow I figured that's whose name she was given.

Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I'd swear that was John Hurt that was playing Kara Stanton's string-puller, and if so, very nice get for a guest star, kudos to the showrunners for classing it up. smile.gif

the actor is John Nolan, the Nolan bro's uncle, agree he's very Hurt-ish. biggrin.gif

Use the virus to shut down every laundry in the US crippling the country?

No way she is dead. There were a few seconds left when they cut away. And when they showed the scene again through the camera, the feed blipped right before the car exploded.
I figured she bailed as soon as she heard the firing circuit charging up.

Are you sure she is gone? She survived that air attack on the roof of that building abroad didn't she? She will be back, she's too cute to get rid of. wink.gif
I think the virus will change Windows 8 into all Chinese characters that can't be changed back. biggrin.gif (It would be a improvement)

I think she will be back too for the reasons stated above; also if she is dead what was the point of showing the charred paper with Finch's name on it at the very end.

Uh, point being that her new controller is aware of Finch and that Finch perhaps had something to do with the info/device that Reese was sent to China to retrieve or destroy.
Nothing to do whether she's dead Release 2.0 or not.
