Yeah, I don't know what the issue is, but since I am more concerned with seat-to-seat bass response variance than I am with EQ above Schroeder, I think a more targeted EQ solution would be a better choice for me.

I EQ'd my main LP and then I measured the rest of my seats and they were all pretty good, I lost just a little in the midbass or XO area on the end seats. My room is treated really good so that is probably the reason or I just got lucky.

"Flat response" is a huge debate on its own. If we look at a FMC (loudness curves) then we should not have a flat in room response because many will preceive it as a lack of bass.

Its all just a choice and everyone has a specific curve that suits them the best. Unless we use Audyssey pro we really have little control over the curves we like. With me its also a pain with Audyssey since Audyssey has never even got my XOs right ever!! That is another old thread topic though

I have Pro and have been unsuccessful in editing the curve to eliminate the harshness I'm experiencing. I can't rule out it's not a problem with mic placement during calibration, but I've been using Audyssey for a long time and I'm very familiar with how things should be done. There's no way to figure out what to change without significant trial and error and I'm just tired of the multiple calibration attempts to try and make it work.

I could of went wig the AE but it is risky as warranty issues are concerned. The woofer I am using measures quite well in this box and with even better sensitivity.

FWIW, I have never been aware of John Janowitz (AE owner/builder) having issues with any TD designs. All the manufacturing delays, supplier issues have been with the AV series subwoofers only. John might have limited time to build the TDs but they have always been available, atleast I thought so.

I do know that Wayne Parham (Pi Speakers) uses the TD series drivers so the supply and warranty exists.

The Eminence drivers are nice ( I have a couple ready for the SEOS-12 waveguide project) but I was wondering if you went with the ultimate 12" design. Which in terms of measurements is the TD12M driver (incl. my listening tests (100% subjective to me ))

I will call Monday to see when they are available. If they are available I might change. I can't wait too much longer for these and right now it is 2 weeks. If it takes months for the AE I will pass.

FWIW, I have been trying to get John to respond to my emails and phone calls all week. His phone message and automated emails describe him as busy ramping up for manufacturing of another wave of AV15s.

Your best method is to post on their forums. Him and Simon seem to be the most responsive there.

You teach BJJ? My brother and sister-in-law have their own school. She is one of the only female blackbelts in the country, and my brother just received his blackbelt. What the two of them have accomplished is very inspiring.

May I ask who your sister is? It is very, very hard to get a BB in BJJ. I have trained w/ many pro MMA guys and most are purple/Brown. Of course they also have good striking and wrestling. My black belt is from professional fighter Jay White who was a grappling instructer for Randy Coture. He got it fraom Nick Sanzo who got it from a Japanese BB.

I taught at a Renzo Gracie affiliate when I was in grad school. I also boxed w/ a Cus Dammato protege (he used to steal Mike Tysons cookies when they were living at Cus's place). I also took old School Kyokushin, Muay Thai and I was a 3 year varsity wrestler back in high school.

However at my age I cannot hang w/ pro fighters anymore. I also need to stop working the heavy bag and switch to something more heavily padded.

Wow didn't realize their were any bjj guys around here! I have trained with a guy named Max Bishop. He used to train with H. Gracie and Iv seen them roll for a long azz time! Right now I am currently training at a Gracie Barra gym in rural arkansas.

No problems from me as I used to train with Matt hamill. I just missed his retirement party. If my knees were not bad I would have been his sparring partner. I should say one of many. His manager is my good friend.

Dr J, I wondered if that's what your name meant but I never asked. You definitely have put in some work! MK I thought you only played football as you never mentioned the wrestling. I dabble on the mma/jujitsu front always good to keep tuned up. Can't wait to see Rampage and Jon Jones next week. Now back to your regularly scheduled program

I had 4 M&K speakers until recently, 7.1. I sold a couple of speakers and moved my 3 S-5000's for 6.1 for now. I will have 7.1 soon.

Just curious.

Yes I did it was my HDMI equalization which happened to be on the wrong setting. It was my processor.

You guys Can't let this deal go, I am selling my F-20's for $200 each. You will not beat that ever!!
