The Caps along with my CHT subs are the best sounding subs I have ever heard. They produce very accurate, tactile, and powerful bass. They don't go deep enough for me but we knew that already. If I had to buy ported these would be at the top or the regular caps.
The triple 8's play very loud and clean. They have great detail with very nice palpable energy to the sound. They lacked Midbass only to the JBL's and BFM's but damn good. They have more detail and feel more palpable than the originals I had before. They are about as palpable as the M&K's but have more detail. I would rank these second for now only because I like the big sound out of the BFM's more. The BFM's are more sensitive, more palpable, and sound bigger. The JTR's are plug and play and take up much less space. The magnetic grills are a nice touch and these should please most people easily.
Here is a breakdown of some traits that I would rank with best from left to right.
Looks: Triads, M&K(real black oak), JTR, BFM, JBL
HF sizzle and extension: BFM, JTR, M&K, Triad, JBL
Vocal clarity: BFM, JTR, M&K, JBL, Triads
Midbass: JBL, BFM, JTR, M&K, Triads
Dynamics: BFM and JBL, JTR, M&K, Triads
Palpable: Triads, BFM, JTR, M&K, JBL
Big sound: JBL and BFM, JTR, M&K, Triad
Forward sound: M&K, JBL, JTR, BFM, Triad
Sensitivity: BFM, JBL, JTR, M&k, triad
I hope this helps and remember this is my opinion.
