For reference: Sony BDV-E570
I know this is a shot in the dark, but I'm stuck. I'm trying to watch a movie with English subtitles; The Sacketts, if it makes any difference. It advertises English subtitles, so I should be OK, but when I use the remote "subtitles" button, it cycles through 1) French, 2) Spanish, and 3) Off. When I use the main menu button, it takes me to the DVD menu and one option is Languages. When I click that, the screen shows:
LANGUAGES:
English
SUBTITLES:
French
Spanish
Off
The up arrow won't go over French, and just jumps back down to Off. The down arrow does the reverse, but neither will let me navigate above the word SUBTITLES as displayed above. What am I doing wrong, and what must I do to display English subtitles (closed captioning)?
