Can someone help me as I have two questions:

1.) Projector does not see 3D DVD player through denon CI3313? Are there settings I'm missing? 3D works straight from DVD player to projector but not through Denon.

2.) What display card and software needed to go through home theatre computer?

Any help with one or both questions would be much appreciated.

The 3313 is both 3D and 4K compatible, so you shouldn't have any issues. Check your cables to see if one of those is the culprit. You might also see about turning off any HDMI processing, such as on-screen menus, but that should really affect 3D signals. I'm guessing one of your cables is not 3D compatible. Also, I hope you mean 3D Blu-ray player. Is there even such a thing as a 3D DVD?

Thanks to everyone that replied!

I went to get it and the Manager is going back on what if Sales guy stated to me... now wants $2000 CAD. Still going to try getting them down lower to what Sale guy stated, I can play the long game.

I am not in any rush, my Mitsubishi HD1000u is still going strong.

That being said, any thought on the Mitsubishi HC5 ($1500) or even more entry Benq 1070w (Below $1000) vs the 30?

This would be a dedicated HT room, complete control of lighting.

Mainly TV and Movies, some gaming. 2D is primary, rare case 3D might happen.

Screen will be 100-120. Not sure about gain as I will be buying a new screen based on the projector I get.

Thanks again everyone and hope you had a great Thanksgiving to all my US friends and a safe Black Friday if you ventured out to everyone, US and Canada!!

I have the LG BD620 which is 3D DVD player. I ended up running a good cable to HDMI#2 and putting and optical to the Denon with no problems now. Thank you for your help with issue. Maybe my first cable is not good as had that for a few years now. I would like to know if people are using a HTPC with this projector and maybe you can share what video card and software you are using, please. Again, thanks for your help.

That's 20% off list, without glasses. Does it also include the 2 sets of glasses? How many hours? Maybe counter with $1800, or have them throw in a new bulb. But I like to haggle....

he said it has about 50 to 100 hrs of use, it was setup to the ceiling but the they dont have a theater like room so they had a 80 inch tv in front of it

when i asked him to turn it on, he then pulled the screen down in front of the tv and showed us, the picture was absolutely amazing .. in that bright setting .. this is in a furniture store, so he did not have access to turn off the light

in any case, he said because they cannot control light and all that he never has the projector on unless someone wants to demo the projector itself and i believe him

yes it includes 2 pairs of glasses, 1 yr warranty

Make the counter offer, but buy it at that price even.

Does anyone have a Darbee with this projector? If so, was there a significant difference with the enhancement?

Darbee works great with this projector. It does over sharpen at times, but overall it adds a positive viewing experience for me.

As for the 3d glasses, I have both the Monsters and PS3 glasses. In terms of value the PS3 glasses are the way to go especially if you plan on having kids handle them. I got my glasses new on amazon warehouse at $12 each. Monster produces a better image but not $90 more and like others have said it doesn't retain its charge so I barely use it.

Still lovin this projector with no issues of buyer's remorse. I'm going be happy with this baby until 4k projectors hit the $6-7K mark.

Has anybody been able to use the Darbee with 3D? My HW30 goes wild when I have the Darbee in line. Is there a setting that I'm missing?
Thanks,
Jason

Question for the 30 owners - have any of you had any lamp flickering? I and others with the 50 have intermittent lamp flickering after several hours of low lamp mode viewing. We can place the PJ in high mode for a few minutes, and when we switch back to low lamp mode, the flickering is gone. I beleive the 30 and 50 use the same lamp, so I was curious if this problem existed on the 30s as well.

Not with mine.

No flickering here either...

Funny you ask! Watching World War Z over the weekend. Noticed my hw30 was flickering. Never happened before.

I always run the lamp on high. I have about 1,400 hours. I ran it on low for just a minute and the problem went away. Watched several hours of content and it hasn't come back.

Mine is always in low mode except for 3D viewing. No flickering.

How much is a good price to pay for the PS3 3D glasses?

Are there any better glasses to use instead?

Most of us here think the PS3 glasses offer the best performance for the price. Amazon has these typically for around $18, although the price fluctuates through the year.
PS3 Glasses @ Amazon
