The "I'll demo my subwoofer for other enthusiasts" thread.

I've often thought it would be great if there was a thread where respective subwoofer owners could introduce themselves if they are willing to entertain a fellow avsforum enthusiast by demoing their subwoofer.

This type of thread could easily help two kinds of people.
1) A person in the market for a subwoofer who doesn't even know where to start --- with no local contacts for demoing quality equipment to even begin to get a basic idea of what he is looking for. (Ported?/Sealed?/Pricerange?)
2) The enthusiast who just wants to hear other subwoofer products that are geographicaly local because he enjoys the hobby and perhaps would like to network with other enthusiasts.

I'll obviously advise caution in providing your actual address more specifically than city, except through PMs as each owner feels comfortable.

As to the Mains thread request -- I think that would get toooooo crazy. I'll let somebody with more interest, time and energy, handle that. I'm only looking to do a subwoofer thread. If somebody wants to start up a thread for both they can do so and I'll shut this thread down...

I wish there was a way to wiki the first post between at least a handful of people. I don't mind updating this thread for the forseeable future, but it will obviously be out of date at some point ---- and if I get hit by a bus -- well somebody else will just have to pick up where I left off I suppose by copying the info into a new thread.
