SE Michigan encompasses about a 50 mile radius for the locals so they'd have a general idea. I prefer not to put my exact city public but I'll select a local major city if that helps...Ann Arbor/Detroit.

I'll throw my hat in...

Murfreesboro, TN just outside of Nashville / Danley DTS-10 / Behringer EP2500 amp / Brandonnash

I'll also volunteer for the speakers forum thread starter if no one else wants to. I've been a member here for 8 or 9 years I believe and I won't be going anywhere so I can keep up with it. I've kept up with the 9000+ post dts-10 thread I started. I believe I can handle something on the speaker forum. Avs is my drug of choice.

Thanks Tony. If I wasn't "in the running" you'd be one of a very few I'd nominate. I've seen you around for a good long while.

I'll make the post tomorrow if no objections arise.

Superb thread idea btw. Takes a lot of legwork out of having to pm members to see if they mind hosting a demo.

If you end up doing that I'll link it in the original post, and you can link this one in yours. I think you might have to quit your day job to keep up with a mains/speaker thread though!
Nah. In my job I'm lucky on some days to have some down time. I work 911 dispatch and depending on my assignment and the day's workload I can have some serious down time (working certain fire radios actually waiting for a big fire or major injury accident or chemical spill etc can take hours).

I figure even if I do get busy with work or other obligations an update of the first thread every day or two should be sufficient to keep everything rolling along. I hated not seeing the master movies with bass thread not getting updated, but that is a substantial degree of more work involved also. Simple copy and paste will work on this pretty well.

The more I think about this the more it would make sense in just about all aspects of home theater. Most home theater or hifi specific shops have shut down so if a good network could be created it would help people make first hand decisions rather than just going off ramblings from "joe I think I know" on the internet.

When you use your Radio Shack SPL meter in Canada, do you need to set it to "Eh"-weighting????

ps. Glad to see the Jets back home where they belong, the origin of the whiteout!

I agree with the "all aspects" comment. I could see room size being a good data reference too. When I was laying out my room, I hunted for people with similar sized spaces. Dual Danleys in a 10x12' closet don't give the impression that is needed for a person in a 20x35' room.
Room size is dependent on construction and treatments as well. Although my room is small I lose 12 db's at the LP from the speakers and subs. I don't have that tactile floor shake either but lots of pressure due to the concrete floor. The seats shake like crazy though.

Yes, Yes I do. Though it only activates after getting a few beers in ya.

As for the Jets, i was lucky enough to get top tier 1 season tickets. They sold out 13K of season tickets in 17 minutes. Crazy eh??
