Can't wait to see Van Damme to do his spinning back kick on Sly. You know when he hits that movie is over lol.

No doubt JCVD looks impressive as hell when he nails that kick, glad to see him in a big time feature again.

Bigger and better then the first. JCVD acting has vastly improved since the 80's(duh), looks fantasic and english has improved.
What can I say very enjoyable mindless fun.

The truth you are!

Wow. Hated it. I really disliked this film and that is coming from a fan of the fist one. Won't spend a boatload of time on this, but the emotions were overblown, the script threadbare and the action absurd. Norris is laughably stitched into the plot and clearly filmed separately from everyone else. Van Damme is criminally underused, with a villainous role that is so underwritten, he might as well not be there.

This film was just so bad, it made me ill.

This is not the feedback I wanted to see. I hated,.. HATED!!! the 1st one you can go back and read my review of it so "I thought" everyone involved with this film knew that and wanted to redeem themselves and give movie fans something for the crappy 1st one.

I thought the 1st one was not even a movie but a series of self serving ego maniacal pat themselves on the back BS that was nauseating to watch. I cannot imagine it cannot get any worse but I guess I'm wrong. They duped the movie goers once, and thought they could raped them again. Well not me, I won't even rent this garbage.

It's written by people who have so little understanding of even the most basic tactical covert maneuvers a squad might use that i honestly think the combined IQ level of all involved was negative 61. During the initial 'team goes in to recover mcguffen' sequence (which takes place after a fun but stupid action opener and a laughable 'bar bonding' scene) I wanted to yell out at the screen, THIS IS STUPID! THEY WOULD NEVER GO IN LIKE THAT! NEVER!

And then when they go out, I was sitting there, astonished at how unbelievably STUPID this elite squad of mercs was acting. The kids from The Hunger Games would be smarter than these poorly written characters.

Oh God, this movie sucked.

Actually the Expendables was Stallone's baby. It was all his creation to gather all the living legends but felt like that was enough and did jack for the story or movie. Everything Stallone touch these days is 100% ego and trash. When when the last time you saw a decent Stallone film? Look at him now, in his 60's and having tattoos all over his body trying to keep up with the young hip crowd...is so pathetic.

Well, I can answer those questions with this; I absolutely loved ROCKY BALBOA and the recent RAMBO. I felt they were both well written and in the case of RAMBO, it was plausible, with one of the most insane and intense finales in memory.

So that is why Expendables was kind of disappointing and Expendables 2 is a piece of turkey poop.

My opinion, of course.

Oh man I was looking forward in seeing this. Last time I remember I was looking forward in watching Pirates Of The Carribean On Stranger Tides and you said it was bad also and you were 100% correct. It was awful. Damn!! I was hoping for a big blockbuster here.

Lol. It's a tough crowd around these parts. Just saw this tonight.... and I loved every minute of it. It's my kind of movie. But then again I wasn't going in looking for "rosebud." I wanted carnage, mayhem and a mind blowing body count. And this movie delivers. Plus, I didn't try to over analyze how military inaccurate this movie is, or get all wound up about the plot holes, just didn't care. I sat back and enjoyed the ride.

No. He didn't. He was barely in it and his lines were lame.

Chuck Norris stole the show. Well, maybe for a little while.

Lol. Norris' scenes were great.

When I first saw the trailers for Rocky Balboa(2006) and Rambo( 2008) my first response was a simple 'Why'.

I thought both of those films were very well done.

I really enjoyed Rocky Balboa and the last Rambo also. Well done, better than I thought they would be.

Does it matter if Stallone has tattoo's all over? It is his body, which by the way he keeps in great shape and he is 66 now. Gone are the days of looking like an old man when you are in your 60's. You have to give him some credit for putting in the hours keeping the bod in shape (along with a little help)

It's R. And believe me, it definitely earned it.

I guess some wanted a Cinema classic? This is way over the top fun. JCVD arms are massive, they almost look like legs. He did his own kicks also. Sly for 66 is amazing. Would I would look as good as him. Chuck telling a CN joke, very funny and stole the scenes he was in but the last. There did seems to be a but of lacking in the whole Charisma dept. She had was 15 sec screen time? Why? Maybe the 3rd one will clear it up.

Same for Jet Li.

I'm 53 and have my entire upper body covered with Japanese styled tattoos. I also work out 6 days a week, and no one believes my age. Who says you can't still live life to its fullest when you get older? I haven't had to resort to HGH or TRT, but at least Stallone is honest about it. He looks great, and can still deliver on the action flicks.

Matt, I'm surprised at your reaction to the new film. Many critics who hated the first one, really liked the second. Seems the opposite happened for you.

I just felt insulted and so let down. Never in a million years did I expect such a lame, stupid, illogical film.

And I love LIFEFORCE!!!!

Maybe it's just that I was so shocked by how good ROCKY BALBOA and RAMBO IV were that I was hoping for the same level of excellence.

Awesome! That is exactly what I look for in a movie like this. Looking forward to seeing it.
