Guys I'm planning to buy a Mits HC 4000 to do a CIH setup. I just want to run by the calculations and seating distance before I commit.
I'm currently doing a 110" screen with 54" height and 96" width in a 16x9 setup. If I want to retain the same image height of 54" for my CIH, my width would have to be 126". Which means that my diagonal would be around 137"? I am very particular that I want to retain the 16x9 size as I have a ton of 1.78 content (tv shows
)!
My projector will be ceiling mounted about 13.5 ft from the screen, and the seating is right under the projector. Will the image width be too much for this seating distance? Will the image be bright enough? What do you all think?
P.S. I'll only be using the zoom method and no lenses. I watch mainly at night and the room will be completely dark.
