Passive sub

I was given a bsr passive sub that needs some work.
Can I use my equalizer with this sub and two satelites.
I don't want to put too much work into the sub if I can't
use my (EQ).

If you put the eq in line ahead of your subs amp, then sure you can use it.

I ordered a new foam ring for the sub and will do the repair.
I'm hoping the sub is worth fixing. It's a BSR dr-sw15×2 any thoughts.
